Akal Takht Jathedar Attempts To Touch Badal's Feet ?

Recommended Posts

I agree we should not use any offensive language such as swear words when addressing any Gursikh no matter what position they hold.

However we have the right to express our opinions and if we see something wrong we should highlight it. The Akal Takht Jathedar is too close to Badal, this is clear for everyone to see. Then we complain when we cannot get justice. We will only get justice and chardi kala for the Sikh Panth when get a leader who is free from the clutches of political leaders such as Badal and Captain.

How was the current Jathedar selected? Vedanti was fired and then Giani Gurbachan Singh was hired, this was wrong. It should not be the SGPC i.e. Akal Dal Badal who selects the Jathedar of the Sikh Panth. It is the Panth who selects the Akal Takht Jathedar.

We need to have a Sarbat Khalsa in which a new Jathedar of AKal Takht is selected by the entire Sikh Panth.

Sorry guys, i did't mean to compare bhai khaniya ji with jathedar of sri akaal takth shaib- jathedar gurbachan singh ji. The point i was trying to make - precedent is already set by bhai khaniya ji showing compassion even to enemies, why one shouldn't use this precedent to people who are against sikhs of this panth to this day and to this age on circumstance like this one.!

I may be comparing apples and oranges here but precedent of showing compassion on extereme circumstances is already been set.

I am sure if sam dristh bhramgyani like bhai khaniya ji were to come today, most so called dvait vaddis would pass fatwas, try to ex-communciate them.

Anyway point being, people need to get over this... the fact is this event was someone funeral, as he was invited..he showed human support by offering satkar to widow parkash badal thats it.

I mentioned this before but whats stopping educated panthic singhs who are abroad and who have done major in political science and punjjabi language to run for next election in punjab if someone is so concerned about punjab and khalsa panth...No Revolution has came just by being comfy arm chair critic.

Action speak louder than words (empty vessel)

i personally don't think the Jathedar of the Sri Akhal Takhat Sahib today is to blame for not having the authority/power to lead the panth. I personally think it's ALL of our fault as if we as a panth were strong, no Badal would have the guts to try to control the Jathedaar. It's becuase of us, we have Badal who controls the Jathedaar.

The responsibility lies alot closer to home...but it's always earier to point fingers at others. If the panth is not in good times, we're to blame but the good news is that we the panth are also the solution too! For me, t's just a matter of how long we're going to keep pointing fingers and not actually do anything?

Nothing wrong with dreaming from dream, seed is planted, slowly slowly it becomes reality. Panthic youth bodies need to first "desire" to make a difference in SGPC/Sri Akaal Takth Sahib/Punjab elections, then slowly take baby steps to have apply for seat in SGPC elections, punjab elections, keep captalizing on it then sky is a limit..!!!

Bhai Harnam Singh Dhumma atleast got something right among other things, he himself is american citizen, managed to get into punjab politics, either we could help him and he help us- "i scratch your back- you scratch my back" attitude or panthic youth body can start over and slowly start get into punjab politics.

We need to first realize, politics in general is dirty, there is a reason bhramgyani yodha - baba bir singh nurangabad, sant jarnail singh bhindranwale didn't want anything to do seat, jathedhari, mp, cm as its dirty game and as everything is interconnected (sri akaal takth sahib interconnected with punjab sarkar- they both need each other for funding/votes because We don't live in monarch- so get over it ).

Either we keep hoping for a "change" or be part of politics dirty game by looking at the "bigger and better picture" of benefit of panth. As they say- in rajneeti- gaddhaie nuo bhi bapu banuona penda!!!

Is it not clear that Sant Samaj and Akal Jathedar support this dusht Badal, they do not see him as an enemy. They perform akhand paaths for him, allow him to sit on chair infront of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and gave him panth rattan award.

Did Sant Samaj award him this title?

He shouldn't have done that but not a big issue.

In this same video watch around 5.25 when majithia brought dera radhaswami head (yellow turban & black glasses) and how his security started pointing to shut off camera (?). Majithia wife's mama is radhaswami head (political move to get all dera votes).

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
