This is just a typical Asian response. I don't think there is any sinister plot by hindutva or GOI agents to defame Sikhs. Those idio ts did that by themselves. Why are so many members on this forum so paraniod about India.

Lets look at it from a hypothetical scenario. If the unfortunate massacre in Wisconsin haopend in India the majority of the members here would blame it on Indian govt. and will think burning Indian flags abroad is ok. But as it was in the US well it was a lone gun man and lets not hate on officials. Why can't same logic be used against the guys in the pictures. They are acting alone the GOI I doubt has told them to burn US flags as in the long run it makes India look bad infront of the US as India does try to brown nose US alot.

Great post Mahan Singh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please post the link of the article if possible or a larger picture so it's easier to share.

I have isolated this article (advertisement) from the newspaper. It is in Punjabi. I did not see that ad in any English media newspaper. I could not enlarge its size. However if you click on the picture (the article) it will enlarge the whole page - (most of it has been rendered blank except that article). Then scroll the page down. You will find it on the bottom right hand of them page.

Also a statement from Simranjit Singh Mann.

August 7,2012

Press released :-

Chandigarh, Dated 7 August 2012

We note with great sadness the tragedy that has befallen the Oak Creek Gurudwara Sahib Sangat. Senseless killing is an abhorrent crime against humanity. We are very impressed that the United States and the state of Wisconsin has launched an immediate enquiry into the killing and is treating the incident as a case of domestic terrorism. We view this swift action with awe. Contrary to the action taken by the United States and its constituent states, the Genocide of the Sikhs has been covered up and swept under the carpet, here in India. The pogrom unleashed by the state in New Delhi in 1984, and the countless extra judicial killings of Sikhs carried out by the armed and police forces of India have not been taken cognizance of.

Extra judicial killings of particular note include that of Jathedar Gurdev Singh Koanke, a senior Jathedar of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), whose torture and death is detailed in the report filed by DGP B. P. Tiwari (seewww.shiromaniakalidalamritsar.com). As is the case of Sardar Jaswant Singh Khalra of the Akali Dal (Badal) who was investigating the case of unidentified cremations conducted in Police District's of Taran Tarn, Majithia and Amritsar (see

).

We also learnt that Ms. Tina Dhaliwal's wedding was to take place at Gurudwara Sahib, Oak Creek, Wisconsin. We believe that performing Anand Karaj is a great responsibility and view with pride and joy the growth of our community.

The wedding of Ms. Dhaliwal has become a function of huge proportions and is being called a power wedding. This wedding is being attended by the high command of the Akali Dal (Badal) who have recently appointed Shri. Sumedh Singh Saini as DGP. Shri. Sumedh Singh Saini was responsible for the extra judicial killings of Sikhs and has been the right hand man of KPS Gill who was ceremoniously welcomed back to the Punjab Police headquarters in Chandigarh by Shri. Sumedh Saini, under the current Akali Dal (Badal) government. Shri. Saini was implicated in murder and loot cases and has a number of cases and investigations ongoing into his acquisition of property by forceable means. It is pertinent to mention that the Akali Dal (Badal) had also fielded Shri. Azhar Alam, IPS, former SSP Majithia, who was also responsible for the extra judicial killings of many Sikhs, as its candidate from Malerkotla. Due to the hue and cry created by the people who were murdered under Shri. Azhar Alam's tenure the party fielded Alam's wife instead. It can be seen from these actions, along with the fact that the Akali Dal (Badal's) choice of partner in the ultra nationalist, right wing party BJP whose poster boy is the mass murderer Narender Modi, that the Akali Dal (Badal) has a party to the Indian states genocide of the Sikh's.

Keeping these facts in mind we urge the Guru Sangat of the United States, the State of Wisconsin and the United States to tread with caution in allowing members of the high command of the Akali Dal (Badal) to be a party to this recently massacred precent. Having those who have elevated Sumedh Saini and Azhar Alam to positions of Executive and Legislative power, instead of bringing them to justice under law, to Oak Creek will set a bad precedent to any notion of justice for the Sikhs.

The United States has also taken a strong position against corruption, and it is no secret that Darshan Singh Dhaliwal is under the scanner of the FBI for his corrupt business dealings. It should be noted by the United States and the State of Wisconsin that members of the Akali Dal (Badal), especially it's Patron, his late wife and its President have been under investigation of corruption.

WE also believe that in a time of drought in the State of Punjab, when the Chief Minister is demanding Rs. 2,800+ crore in aid from the centre, it is an act of extreme insensitivity, and low morals to go reveling out to see the Olympic games in the UK and thence to party in the USA.

Simranjit Singh Mann,

President,

Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar)

This 'International Akal Dal' and especially that man with the two swords has been brought out regularly over the past many years when the Indian Govt wants the Sikhs to look bad. He is usually burning Pakistani flags. What is this 'Internationi Akali Dal' do they do anything in India apart from these Government sponsored protests?

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
