Letter from Rami Ranger to SPGC to ban Kirpan !

He should be exposed on public stage as a non-Sikh. It's clear that his allegiance lies with hindu organizations instead of GurSikhi.

The thing is these guys are very stubborn and are very few in numbers, but hope if they're stubborn enough people who don't know better might agree with them. Sikhs in UK need to take all legal, diplomatic and media avenues to bar this individual so he realizes his mistake of messing with a kakaar of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji given to his Sikhs!

Law allows for Kirpan and shastar, especially here in USA, but this masand is aligning with hindu organizations and is trying to ban the kirpan.

THIS INDIVIDUAL WON'T SUCCEED, BUT IS JUST TRYING TO CREATE CONFUSION AND GET A REACTION FROM SANGAT SO HE CAN LEGITIMIZE WHAT HE'S SAYING.

Do not act in haste, but instead properly shut up this clown by exposing him on all Sikh channels, news papers and diplomatically. Even pursue a legal case against him if you can.

With this said Hindus are our brothers/sisters although we have different religions and beliefs, we should have mutual respect. It's sad that the Hindu organization is catering to an individual who is against Sikhs.

We should also send 10 Amritdhari Khalsa (perhaps woman and men) to the Hindu Forum of Britain with love and discuss this issue and ask them to stop catering to a controversial figure as they may be seen as racist if they do so.

I'm sure they are open minded and would understand. :)

What I've noticed is some of these so called "Sikhs" are usually just bum-hurt over being put down or feel threatened for whatever reason. If they say something stupid, don't give them an excuse to justify whatever skewed illogical stuff they're saying, because other people who may not previously agree with them will end up agreeing with them.

Quite simply, don't get hot headed/emotional. "Tera Kiya Meeta Laage, Har Naam Padharat Nanak Maange"

Take what venom they spew as sweet and reply with appropriate action.

It (Hinduism) is like the boa constrictor of the Indian forests. When a petty enemy appears to worry it, it winds round its opponent, crushes it in its folds, and finally causes it to disappear in its capacious interior....Hinduism has embraced Sikhism in its folds; the still comparatively young religion is making a vigorous struggle for life, but its ultimate destruction is, it is apprehended, inevitable without State support." (Max Arthur Macauliffe, 1903)

bro be careful quoting max arthurs work...the singh sahbha laid most of its foundation on his interpretation of sikhi...which is very christian protestant like...what the firangi like max arthur failed to understand is that hindu was not ever considered as a religon before they classified it as such...as there is an unlimited number of panths all of which are accepted within the hindu traditions...no other so called 'religion' has such a vast quantity of groups all claiming to follow truth and all being accepted as different paths to the truth...this supports the claims that hindu is not a religion ...but more of a cultural/geographical term ...

Max Arthur did not lay the foundation of Singh Sabha, please read some history books. If Singh Sabha is protestant does that make the Sanatanists Catholics?

Modern UK niddarists are trying to change what Hindus are by claiming that it is not a religion but a geographic term in order to blur the distinction of Sikhs from the Hindus. They are trying to say that Hindu is not really a religion but a geographical location (i.e. India) and since Sikhs are mostly from India then Sikhs are also Hindus. This type of logic is pure hogwash.. It simply does not make sense make sense if you put Sikh scriptures in the equation.

In Gurbani we have famous Tukhs like Hindu anna, turku Kaana meaning the Hindu is blind since he does not beleive in Vaheguru, and the Mussalmaan(turk) is one eyed since he at least believes in God. So Hindu here is used to denote a religious community, not a geographic location since Sikhs were also in that same geographic location as Hindus. Further, in Gurbani Guru Jee says Na Hum Hindu, Na Mussalmaan (I am neither Hindu nor Muslim). Again, Hindu here implies a religious group as is Mussalmaan(Muslim).

Listen to what Sant Bhindranwale has to say on this matter:

Sant Jee was not education by Singh Sabha, he got all his understanding of Sikhi from Taksal from which even Nihangs study from. And since niddarists have an alergy to Singh Sabha, they at least cannot accuse Sant Jernail Singh Bhindranwale of being Singh Sabha influenced. Even the Nihangs in India are not in agreement with the niddarist interpretation. Even they say Sikh Panth is the teesr Panth(the 3rd and distinct Panth), implying that it is distinct from the other two Panths i.e. Islam and Hinduism.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
