I am 16 and due to my good karams i was born into a good religion and enlightened family. My family is all Amaritdhari and I follow there path but I have been looking online and i find buddhism as my type of way of life.

I like the fact the don't worship god because if there is a god why so much hate and pain in the world, why so many kids suffering in Africa Believing in a god creates so many questions for me so it leaves me confused. I don't know which is the way to go. Although i like Buddhism very much i dont want to disappoint my parents who have full faith in sikhi.

Where we are now at the specific moment is a direct result of our previous karams from this birth and previous births. What we have now is a certain amount of things we can not change and the rest we've been given a clean slate.

We are all beings separated from the one Ik Onkar and the second we leave our mother's wombs we're conditioned in kalyug. It's part of our journey to understand what is around us and meet Waheguru. Without separation, we wouldn't be able to understand Sach/Truth/bliss if we don't first live in falsehood and pain.

Have a listen to this amazing katha.

Young Singh Ji,

Both Buddhism and sikhi are great dharams but you are born a sikh and your family are into sikhi. It would be best if you learnt more about sikhi.. Have you read the sri guru granth sahib jee? Please do not rush; read and try to understand what sikhi is about.

Daas would recommend the videos above about bhai mani singh and he does well talking about great aspects of sikhi. Daas says this with great respect the comparisons he does about other religions is occasionally inaccurate - so please take those comparisons as a pinch of salt (you can search why by using Google and reading books but I do not want to correct him as he is not here to defend himself).

All in all it is a lovely katha and it is in English!

Please forgive daas for any mistakes. Satguru mehar karan

Hmm What i feel incomplete about Sikhism is the belief in the god. Saying god is almighty and such. I am not letting my ego come in the way and say i am better than god in any way shape or form. I want to feel the god, i have somehow not felt this supreme being yet. I do meditate and i am in a blissful state when i do. I love the feeling and love all the teaching both Buddhism and Sikhism has. But i haven't felt that god yet.

It is your own ego stopping you. Its clear you have not understood Buddhism yet either properly.

Your just going to switch religions and mess your mind up. it is not a game.

You need to give sikhi a long try, a good look at bani. using sikhitothemax.com

have you watched that video posted above yet? whats your views on this?

what do you meditate on? is it saying waheguru?? and isnt that bliss God? think about it.
