Officers from the MPS have this evening arrested three men and one woman on suspicion of conspiracy to murder in connection with the investigation into the attempted murder of an Indian man in central London on 30 September.

One man [A] age 33 and the woman age 40 were arrested at a residential address in Wolverhampton at approx 17:00hrs.

A further man, [C] 34ys, was arrested at approx 17:30hrs after being stopped in a car on a street in West Bromwich. A 25-year-old man [D] was arrested in the same circumstances at 19.00hrs.

All four are being taken to a central London police station where they will be interviewed by detectives.

Inquiries are ongoing and police continue to appeal for information into the incident.

Police were called at approx 22:40hrs to reports of a man assaulted in Old Quebec Street, W1 near the junction with Oxford Street.

The victim, an Indian national who is visiting London, was with his wife when they were approached by four men.

He was assaulted with what is believed to be a knife or sharp implement and suffered a wound on his neck. His wife was not injured in the attack.

The four men are described as being of Asian appearance, and were wearing dark clothing and long black jackets. They all had long beards. One of the men is described as younger and slimmer than the other three. They all fled in the direction of Oxford Street.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene and discovered a man, aged 78, suffering from an injury believed caused by a knife or sharp implement.

He was taken to hospital where he received treatment and was later discharged.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have information about the incident.

In particular they want to speak to those people who assisted the wife and the victim at the scene following the attack.

Any witnesses or anyone with information can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111

The game being played by India is no different to what was done after 1984.

It was during Rajiv Gandhi's visit to the Uk in Oct 1985, when they arressted 3 Leicester sikhs for planning to assasinate him.

In the same year they arrested another Sikh from Gravesend for the attempted murder of congressi Sohan Liddar in Luton and murder of congressi leader Toor in Southall.

The most famous case of all was Karamjit Singh Chahal's arrest under the National Security Act in 1990.

http://www.independe...re-1601947.html

All these sikhs spent several years in jail with no evidence. The reason for their imprisionment was to please the indian government and the indian government returned the favour by doing trade with Britian. In Karamjit's case, Britain sold its already scrapped aircraft carrier Ark Royal.

All these sikhs were not leaders in there own right but they were the ones that were charismatic and seen as the most influential and they had to be silenced.

The arrests last night are nothing new they are just a way to tarnish the sikhs.

Like I have said before. India is very uncomfortable with the Sikh voice abroad, the game has chnaged now. India cant hide its human/civil rights opression any more. Sikh TV/Radio are providing news as it happens.

They need an excuse to suppress any memorials to our shaheeds.

Also, if the names of the 4 are released I hope sangat, from the relevant areas from which the 4 were arrested, know who these individuals are, who their families are, how long they've lived in those areas, etc. If they do turn out to be well-established, known people with roots then we will have to take it on the chin.

IF, however, nobody or very few people have heard of them then I'd be very suspicious of that. We've all heard of people from agencies being planted into hot-spots and then going on their relevant missions once those individuals feel they are part of the community, etc. Probably a bit of paranoia but it's been known to happen.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
