You can get many alcohol free perfumes, especially Indian ones, some do smell strong though.

I was just discussing a few days back about the smell in the Divaan Hall at my local Gurdwara, normally kinda neutral, can always smell the Karah Prashad but i no longer smell the dhoop/aggarbatti. They stopped using it because the smoke irritates the throat of the Granthis and Kirtanias. I personally can't get enough of the stuff. Having that kinda smell in the air creates an atmosphere, it makes me feel devotional. The smell of rose water goes too quickly.

Oh and the silver vase like bottle is called a “gulab daani”

Rosewater smell is fine. The "alcohol" argument is ridiculous - clearly the person running around has no concept of "alcohol". I wonder what he thinks of the alcohols produced within his body, which would include ethanol (the stuff in alcoholic drinks)?

This alcohol argument is ridiculous !!!

It's the sort of rubbish on muslim forums.

Alcohol consumption is prohibited in sikhism, the alcohol in your perfume, aftershave, the small amounts used as preservative in thousands of daily goods like foods, detergents, washes..etc..

These very tiny amounts are what stop your food from decaying and they have absolutely no effect or crossing in ''The Blood-Brain barrier''- which the scientists will know, is how the nasha effect happens !!

Wicked Warriors comment above is bang on, because our bodies break down things called aldehydes and ketones to produce bioligical alcohol !!

Does anyone know that the most effective cold medicines contain alcohol such as cough mixtures.

The easiest and most effective way to kill household germs is simple alcohol. Most effective way of cleaning any crap in your electrical appliances is ''isopropyl alcohol'' and for cleaning grease of almost anything!!!

BUT if an <banned word filter activated> drank this, they would soon be dead !

If others want to continue on this stupid thread, then they should go to a paki forum, because they love this topic.
