Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

This Gurdwara Sahib is linked with those Asian Marriage Bureaus who arrange weddings to cater for all needs.

Someone told me that Guru Granth SahibJi was taken to Birmingham a few months ago from this Gurdwara for a wedding in a Hotel. Looks loke we can definetly confirm this.

I will contact the campaign guys.

Thanks for the info. Just got a call about this too. Looks like no one knew about this one in advance.

Please can we request any sewadars in Slough to go to the Banqueting Hall now and take some pictures of the wedding, granthi & ragi jatha. This will be a great help.

We will get in touch with the committee now and urge that the sangat help us out by also getting in touch with the committee and communicate their disgust. Unfortunatly it's too late to stop the beadbi from taking place this time but we must prevent this from happening again.

Any further information/help would be most appreciated.

Just looks at the site and on this page http://www.vikramsoccasionspalace.com/services.html, I found some thing that makes me feel sad.

On the above link it says

In addition to the services provided as standard in our wedding packages, we are able to sub contract various services from reputable suppliers at considerably discounted prices. Customize your big day with the following:

Priests to conduct Hindu & Sikh wedding ceremonies

I rea

lly think that the singhs dealing with this problem should contact the hall as well.

Whilst I appluad the stance taken over this and the UK group that act in such cases :TH: I am very dissapointed by the non action of the Akal Takht. They are aware of the issue.

All we need is one of the abusers to be summoned to the Akal Takht this will act as a detterent to others.

I suggest everyone writes/email the Akal Takht and urges action against Avtar Singh.

Just phoned the Guru Ghar and spoke with a person who actually agreed with it being an act of beadbi, no one form the committee was there . One again I have emailed the Akal Takht via the SGPC to see if they will take action. the perosn also told me that another Gurdwara in Southall does the same, he said it was known as Mangat Hall, maybe someone form the area can shed light on this.

Banqueting Halls like Vikrams Occasions palace need to informed about the Hukumanama and we must pressure them to change their policies. The fact that they openly state on their web-site that they can hire Gianis like a Dj is pathetic.

We should also start calling/e-mailing up Vikram Occasions Palace and express our disgust at their expoloitation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

A group of 3 GurSikhs went down to Vikram's Occasions Palace during the wedding, managed to take pictures and delay the family's programme by a couple of hours. They were met with a number of insults, but with GuruJi's Kirpa they were brave and stood up for Khalsa Ethics.

We need the Sangats support to stop Brent Sikh Centre & Vikram's Occassions Palace from doing this beadbi again.

It is now emerging that Brent Sikh Centre along with Mangat Hall, Southall have been responsible for a number of similar beadbis in the last few months. There seems to be a business relationship between various banqueting halls, wedding planners, marriage bureaus and Brent Sikh Centre.

This money making scheme has to be stopped. Please help us put pressure on the relevant parties.

GurFateh !!!!!

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
