They want to hide the evidence and deny it ever happened.

Hardly surprising, SGPC is controlled by Indian government their objective is to slowly erase any evidence of the 84 attacks from the minds of Sikhs. Theyve already partially succesfully brainwashed o

We have recieved word that SGPC wants to do saskaar of Guru Granth Sahib saroop that had bullet pass through it in the attack in 1984. We can not allow this Maha paap to happen. Contact Akal Takhat jathedar Sgpc president general secretary. Lets stop this beadbi from taking place and show everyone we are united when it comes to satkaar of our Guru. Don't let them cremate our guru

Wow their actions make ferengi attacks on sikhs look mellow..lol..atleast actions ferengis took are bit paradoxical depending how you look at it..but in the context of preservation of hertiage i would trust ferengi over these guys anyday-as they have kept sikh scriptures in british library with great respect and with great care. !!!!.self edit.

We need to formulate solutions right now. This is absolutely unacceptable.

What suggestions do you guys have? Does anyone have any link with media? Can SikhSangat make a news article condemning the SGPC please?

Thank you

I totally agree with you all about the destruction of heritage and 'evidence'.

I just have another question: Would it be wrong to do saskaar of that particular saroop of Maharaaj ji if the saroop is 'birdh'?

Who is the SGPC to decide this?

Avtar makkari is known to regularly consume alcohol.

I have absolutely no doubt about the corrupt ways of the SGPC. However, if they do make the aforementioned excuse, what should be our response? Should a Gurmatta have been passed?

I do understand that this particular saroop of Maharaaj Ji is of historical importance. But the other 'birdh' saroops in and around Harmandar Saheb...Who gets to make decisions about them, usually/normally?

I don't think SGPC should, there must be something fishy going on if they are bringing this issue up randomly. You ask a good question as to who should decide, I think the panth as a whole should be able to ask Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib jathedar with their decision.

Learned Sikhs from Punjab and abroad should get together and send a collective decision to Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib and not allow the SGPC to interfere.
