This much debate over a Christmas tree?! Jesus!! (pun intended)

In the last week with Maharaj's kirpa i got to spend a few days in the company of a true Brahmgiani. One Gursikh who we visited had a Christmas tree in his living room, they asked laughingly what it is and a sevadaar explained the story about St.Nicholas and how he did seva of giving presents to the poor children as well as how its linked to Jesus' birthday. They also said that its just something people do here. Brahmgiani Ji just nodded and said "teek a". :D

I'll should also mention it wasnt the only Gursikh household which had a tree.

People seriously need to chill out. Next you'll be saying Christmas trees are an RSS conspiracy.

Kahani Achee hai, but a Brahmgiani is all knowing. He does not need to ask anyone for info, he will automatically know it. Just out of curiosity what is the name of the Brahmgiani in your Kahani?

Mr.Doaba is a Brahmgyani himself. Don`t bother him with Satguru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji Maharaj truth of telling Sikhs not to participate in Holi and take up Hola Mohalla. Mr.Doaba was educated by a top notch university, which says to a person no need to learn how to conduct research, analyze, compare & contrast, and then apply. The university's name was Pay to go degree......24 hour drive through........30% discount if you buy two degrees

Next these Brahmgyanis will say Satguru was wrong for going against throwing colors on each other during Holi. OOOOO wait many of the Sikhs in india are already doing this by participating in this foolish act.

So if a Brahmgiani is all knowing does that mean they wont ask questions?? If they dont need to ask questions then why talk at all?? Like i said they laughingly asked what it is and someone answered properly.

It doesnt matter who they were, they were a true Brahmgiani. Its up to you whether you believe my kahani or not. Even a moorakh like me will never forget being in their company, i was shown what a Gursikh actually is, the term Gursikh took on a whole new meaning. Again, its entirely up to you whether or not you believe me, frankly i dont give a toss. Ive already said im not getting into a deep discussion about Christmas trees.

I respect your opinion so please respect mine.

Why are you always so disrespectful in all your posts?? Have you no uckal?? Why do you always try to insult other members?? Why do you think your answers, views and opinions are always right and why do you think they are the only right ones?? Seems as if you're the one who thinks of themselves as a Brahmgiani.

"These Brahmgyanis..." tere ley menu sharam lagdi ne.

Doaba Jee, I just want to know the name of the brahmgiani in your kahani becase i would like to phone him, he does have the right to know that he is being used to promote manmat of christmas celebration.

Secondly, the term teek ha does not have to mean agreement. In punjabi conversation when the listener is listening to the teller, very often the listener will say teek ha to confim that he is listening to what the teller is saying. This type of teek ha does not have to mean he agrees with manmat.

Everyone(the post I read) was respectful in this thread until you came along and called malwa people moorakh. If you can't take it, then don't dish it out. I have no problem being respectful to those that show respect. You remind me of the sly elementary kids that wanted to call names to everyone behind teachers back and when other student did it infront of the teacher, then you would go run into the teachers lap crying.....................why are they picking on me.............I didn't do anything.............

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
