What do you think Behnjia - Are you ashamed or something if some Gursikh /Keshdahri or whatever talks to you?

I'm going to be quite frank. I don't have any Singhs as friends. From personal experience, it isn't a good idea. When I was younger, I used to look up to a couple of older Singhs as brothers (they could have been related to me by blood) but over time, I found that they didn't see me the same way so I stopped speaking to them and realised that I needed to be far more careful.

People around you WILL talk if you have friends that are Singhs and you spend quite a lot of time with them. You might think that it doesn't matter if people talk but it does, it matters hugely. When it comes to getting married, your potential in-laws are going to ask around to find out what kind of a person you are. So we can't be naive, we do have to think about how things look to other people.

If something will attract gossip or doesn't look acceptable then don't do it. Even if it's legit. Because what people think and say does matter and will affect your reputation.

Try to live in such a way that if someone spoke badly of you, nobody would believe it.

Bhul chuk maaf.
