Is there GOD?

A prophet is someone who serves as an intermediary between God and humanity, to deliver God's message.

Moses talked to God (supposedly)

Jesus was the son of God (aren't we all)

Mohammed was told of God's will by the angel Gabriel (supposedly)

Guru Nanak meditated on the bank of a river, in the wilderness, for some time before proclaiming there is one God and there is no Muslim or Hindu. His inspiration came from meditation and deep reflective thought.

Your questions are inherently biased and flawed.

All religions don't want to reach the same place and are not after the same goal. The definition of God is different in Abrahamic and Dharmic faiths.

so would you say that followers of the abrahamic religions are wrong given that there is only one god and therefor only one definition?

i cannot take that challenge. i cant read punjabi and i dont have the time. i am happy with life, i have no problems that cannot be solved. i dont need answers to the meaning of life and since i dont believe in the after life or heaven or hell, i have no need to read the manual which gets me there. you know very little of my brain, i dont know how you can reach your conclusions. i am by far the most logically thinking person that i know of personally.

What an excuse! U r looking for answers on a forum and when I am telling you where to find u behaving like a child. Be a man take it or leave it. If you are happy then DO NOT STIR WATER because your conclusions don't make sense at all.

another definition of prophet is a person regarded as an inspired teacher

Your opinion is clear. The people who reply their opinions are clear. Are you paid for doing this ?

no im not paid for this. how to apply for that job?

the opinions are not yet clear. i have heard a few different opinions but no clear opinions.

i want someone to clarify on what i have asked in previous posts.

basically are the abrahamic religions wrong given that a previous poster stated that abrahamic religions have a different definition of god to the dharmic religions, given that there is only one god - someone must be wrong? yes or no?

none of them

You are looking outside. Have to look within

can you pick one so we can look at it in more detail?

thats just mumbo jumbo - you can say that about anything, it just sounds vague. a get out of jail free card to use when you dont know what you are talking about or dont have an answer or dont want to answer.

If you require shades then that is not directly looking at it. You will burn your eyes.

Religion is a Western word used for a philosophy revolving around a guy in the sky.

Sorry there isn't an English word to describe Sikhism. It is a philosophy on life and a way to live life. It is a dharam.

Most scientists have traditionally come from Abrahamic backgrounds. How many of them understand Dharma? Not many.

So Sikhs would continue to follow something that was written 500 years ago in North India.

Wow, how does that make Sikhs any different to Muslims following Islam, which is from the middle east.

There are different definitions of the same God. And I am sure this is explained in the beginning of the topic under Sant Mani Singh ji. All religions lead to the same destination but with different approaches. All are correct
