Pothi/ Parkash/maryada?

Gurfateh Jio,

Sangat ji I have a question.

I have a pothi at home that used to be a part of a set of 2 pothi's. The one I have is the second half of the guru granth sahib. I would like to start reading from the guru granth sahib more frequently than I have been and was wondering If I purchased the first half in pothi form how would I keep the two pothis?

Of course gurbani deserves the ultimate respect but if both pothi's are under one roof would I have to do parkash of guru granth sahib ji? I don't have the discipline for that yet, don't know the maryada completely either and in not wanting to make a mistake I thought I would ask for advice first.

If I am not mistaken, there is no maryada that there must be Parkash/sukhasan everyday for steeks. Get a good set of rummalay and white sheets, maybe a small baby crib set where you can put pothis and other guay.

I have the same idea, somewhat different.....don't want to create confusion with incomplete info.....I have asked someone who does this...it'll take around a week to hear back.....will post ......

i would have thought that you should do the same for the 2 pothis as you would with a complete SGGSji.

We should remember that Guru Ajan Dev ji whilst he had just pothis and was compiling the Adi Granthm he used to put it (in it's development stage) on his own bed and instead sleep on the floor.

Such is the power and strength of shabad Guru !
