Why can't anyone explain what the double edged khanda means to them ??

Why bow to something if you don't understand the meaning or significance. ??

What does blind worship really mean then ??

Veerji .... GPS veer knows what double edge khanda is ......

FOR YOU ..... instead of spoon feeding ...... go and listen to katha's done by amazing sikh kathavacks ..... or

why not go to Giani Sher singh ji ( he is coming to ur place).......once i was listening to him and he took 1 1\2 hours to explain ..... the meaning /significance and why worship .... shastars

You need to blame yourself for that. You seem to be an intelligent person but rehat

seems of very little significance to you.

In sikhism We have Guru Granth and Guru Panth. Guru Panth in form of panj piaras

give us naam as Gurmantra on which we do simran. What i am trying to say is that manmat has no

place in sikhi. It is all the way as ordained by Guru.

Guru Granth sahib comes very heavily on thse who are without Gumantra. This is not to criticize you

but to make you aware of sikh principles.

Khanda in Sri Dasam Granth sahib

At first the Lord created the double-edged sword and then He created the whole world.

Chandi di vaar, Dasam Granth

Please see our earlier posting on meaning of khanda

http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?/topic/53035-a-correct-interpretation-of-dasam-bani/page-2

Khanda is a force of destruction in the verse below

ਖੰਡਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੈ ਸਾਜ ਕੈ ਜਿਨ ਸਭ ਸੈਸਾਰੁ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥

The above means before God created this world he also created force of destruction symbolized by khanda in this verse

Mere Veero - Paapi and GPS - one cannot be hateful and spiritual at the same time .

Tapat karaha bujh geyo , gur seetal name deyo - Smoldering claudron has now gotten cool , with the grace of guru's name.

We need to work at our own individual avastha before calling others names .....

What works for me is when I see krodh emergin in my heart - I start to sing "Gur Ramdaas Rakho Sernayi"

Once we start living Bani ... life becomes an ocean of sweetness.

Mithat Neevin Naanka Gun Changiyaya Tat ....

and

Khama vekhoone khap gaye , khoohan lakh asankh ..

May guru bless your heart with love and peace. Guru Fateh.
