@ Jonny Paji ... Bilcul kissay nay ay nayhee kay'ah kay Sikh Panth Langar da prabandh nayhee kar rayah haii laykin sirf kay assi ik "expenditure" hohr vi seva vaal lah sak'dhay ah (and Paji you have to tell me how you manage to type in Gurmukhi and what the program you have is!? :-)

Essentially the point being not that the Sikh Panth doesn't do seva - we all know that Sikh Panth does more seva in India than all the Mandirs, Masjids and Churches combined - however, nevertheless when it comes to gold, marble, construction costs on new Gurdwaray (particularly in the West), using milk for cleaning etc, etc we have to be very careful not to lose sight of our primary focus of uplifting the oppressed and downtrodden ... rather than succumbing to the same issues that the Hindu's, Muslims and Christians are guilty of - namely that the Hindu's, Muslims and Christians often look at what looks good for "dakhaavah" first ... instead of tackling statistics like the fact that 47% of children in India suffer from a degree of malnutrition as the first issue as Guru Sahib has commanded us to do.

veerji, if someone is feeling hungry they have Guru da Langar where they can eat as much as they want. No one is stopping them.

Writer of Twarikh Sri Amritsar and Twarikh Amritsar writes

Water was used to clean the floor but when did this Kachi lassi concept came is not clear.

Written by the same author as below. Are we going to trust such authors now?

In his latest writings, Dilgeer rakes up further controversy by:

Claiming Guru Gobind Singh Ji never took Khanday-battay-da-Amrit from the Panth Piyaray, negating the concept of "ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਚੇਲਾ".

Dismissing the historical fact that Guru Arjan Dev Ji was were never martyred on a "ਤੱਤੀ ਤਵੀ"

Dismissing the historical fact connected to Panjokhra Sahib regarding Sri Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji blessing Chajju the water carrier to recite the Gita.

Dismissing the historical fact of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's rotation of the Kabba at Mecca.

Dismissing the historical fact of Guru Tegh Buhadur Sahib saving Makhan Shah Lubana's merchant ship from sinking.

Missionary ideology will never stop raising unnecessary stuff and diverts Kaum energy from important issues.

Fact is that, People when do not agree with facts starting saying missionary ideology.

The fact about Makhan Shah Labana is that he came on Diwali(October) to give his daswand.

In August Ardass of Gurship for Guru Teg Bahadur was done.

Guru Nanak Sahib "ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਚੇਲਾ"

Well I hope Paaji you know that.

Rotation of Mecca and Panjokhra Sahib issue veerji I don't either believe leave aside Dilgeer.

Showing miracles is against Gurmat.

Do you also believe as Dilgeer that Panja Sahib saakhi did not happen?

The Makkah rotation Saakhi is mentioned by non other than Bhai Gurdas Jee. I have more faith in Bhai Gurdas Ji than in dilgir. Even Bhagat Naamdev Jee's jeevani there is Saakhi of a Mandhir that was rotated and is mentioned in Gurbani. In Bhagat Kabir Jee's bani there are mentions of miracles occurring Makhan Shah Lubana saakhi cannot be dismissed because of a date issue. Historically dates have been written wrongly in primary sources as well. Guru Ji is the master of Akaali Shaktis. He can use them as he pleases.

Dilgeer Does not deny Panja Sahib sakhi.

He is a historian and have resources to differentiate between truth and myth.

In that case, he is denying a credible source like Bhai Gurdas Jee which mentions Makkah rotating. He does deny Panja Sahib saakhi. I heard him say it in a recorded interview about 2 years ago. Panja Sahib there is physical proof of that miracle occuring, the big rock till date has the imprint of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Jee's hand. I have met Pakistani Muslims who also believe the Panja Sahib Saakhi occured. Seems like we have non Sikhs who have more faith in Panja Sahib Saakhi than Kala Afghanists.

You are entitled to your views, Dilgeer has his own and I have my own view.

People who believe in Bipar ideology will believe in miracles.

ਕੋਈ ਮੁਗਲੁ ਨ ਹੋਆ ਅੰਧਾ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਪਰਚਾ ਲਾਇਆ ॥੪॥

Koee Mugal N Hoaa Andhhaa Kinai N Parachaa Laaeiaa ||4||

कोई मुगलु न होआ अंधा किनै न परचा लाइआ ॥४॥

None of the Mugals went blind, and no one performed any miracle. ||4||

At time of Babar People claimed that they will make enemy army blind.

This incident is in the above Tuk.

And veerji if you go by believing then christian and muslime believe in Adam and eve, what can we make of it.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
