this is what dumalla shasters were for i.e: blade in the front top section anyone trying to grab the dumalla from the front gets cut also used from lower positions to attack throats etc.

But yes in todays society tie a tight secure dastaar firstly. secondly maybe have a smalles patak or keski incase your dastaar comes off, make sure your rair is securely fastened underneath.

Wicked warrior makes a valid point, if you lose your dastaar in a fight so be it, the primary concern is to not get too caught up in it maintain your structure and be ready for more oncoming attacks. A distraction could cost you your life.

Depends on the situation, if someone tries to knock / pull it off, try not to let krodh take control, but would have to definately teach that person a lesson!!
