If Khalistan became independent tomorrow, what would daily life be like within the country?

Like anyother country....?

Better Question who would run it, government Badal/ sgpc ? !!

I still want Khalistan dont get me wrong, your own home is always better than renting !

WJKK WJKF

That is a good question. WHO would run it? We can't control a gurdwara without fighting. What do you think would happen if they had a country?

Honestly, I don't think this is going to be a reality any time soon. Let's think about this logically, not emotionally. Sikhs make up less then 2% of the population of India. Minus the radhaswamis, nirankaris, dera worshippers, non religious punjabi... The numbers are down to less then 1%. Out of them, consider how many people actually want their own homeland... And I bet you are down to 0.001 percent of the Indian population who want it.

Now thinking logically and with reason, the chances of this being a reality because of a very small group of individuals, is next to impossible. It's just not possible. Making a new country is not a small thing. I think focus needs to be put on better education, fighting drug addiction, poverty, corruption etc. Instead of wasting time on something that will probably never happen.

Right now the way things look, Khalistan seems next to impossible. But circumstances can occur which can make the establishment of Khalistan possible. Just look at the examples of the former Soviet Union(a super power!) and Yugostavia, no one in those countries would have thought that those countries would break apart, but they did creating many new countries. We should not be surprised to see multi ethnic nations like India and Pakistan break up in the future even if things do not appear as so currently. This has been the cycles of multi ethnic countries since the start of history. Who knows, maybe one day all of India might become Khalistan when Hindus and Muslims of India become Sikhs.

I believe that Khalistan isnt gonna happen anytime soon...I wish it would happen but in all reality it ain't.

What I do believe is that there will be a Khalistan but it won't be limited to only Punjab. It wall span across the whole world. My reference is Karninama and a sakhi in sau sakhi.

I do not know when this will happen though.

I also despise the word Khalistan...It rhymes with Pakistan or Afghanistan etc lol

Another thing is...Are we really deserving a Khalistan? What have we done to earn it?Most of the punjabis are not even Amritdhari...Tge punjabi kids are shooting drugs in there veins..Are they deserving of a Khalistan?Even if we do have a khalistan where would you put the druggie kids? What rules would we have?Would we have a government?

If we have a government then it will be the same as badal...I want a Khalistan which has no government,no elections,no jobs but listening to gurus bhachans etc.Is my vision of khalistan possible?

You tell me these couple of things:Are we deserving?Would we have a government?Wiuld everyone be an amritdhari?

I think we defiantly are not deserving but I would love to hear your input.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
