Where to start?

There is so much to learn in Sikhi, such as Gurus history, gatka, kirtan, santhiya, recent
history, rehat etc etc etc!!

I have some basic knowledge on most of the above but I am really confused on where to start! I’m studyingtoo. .

I want to do it for my own personal knowledge, to teach others!

So where did you start from?

History! Shaheeds especially, then build up on to Santhiya....

Start from the beginning, i.e. the birth of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and how the situation in Asia at the time meant their janam on this earth was a necessity. There's a lot of political and social factors involved in the lives of our Gurus - and the changes they affected in society - than just the standard tales of miracles and extraordinary occurences, which are, of course, equally valid but don't illustrate the full picture of what things were like on a day-to-day basis.
