Important Sikh websites that no longer exist?

i've been remembering websites that i have visited in the past and now when i search for them they no longer exist was wondering if anyone else came across these websites and knows of others that have disappeared?

I remember burningpunjab.com, it was the most popular sikh website before its maker Osan died.

yeah he was an important journalist for the sikh nation. His website helped me understand politics of punjab / india and how Sikhs were murdered and conspired against by their own so called leaders who sold out the kaum by siding with the hindustani indian terrorist dogs eagar to attack our religion and demands for self determination.

I think its important we keep alive the works of these great net pioneers who done so much work in making the panth aware of what we have been through especially for the younger generation who have no idea what happened in the past.

Sukhbir Singh Osan did a very good job with his website. I have to admit though, i had totally forgotten about it, until this topic came up.

Is this a common occurence in the Panth, that when someone of ability passes away, his legacy is allowed to die with him.

I have noticed at my local gurdwara, that if i am not there, no-one can be bothered to cover any of the work i do. and its nothing hard either, but they just dont have the mindset to do it.

We need to draw up plans where important work and those who do it are not forgotten their legacy is remembered and celebrated. This guy opened my eyes to the atrocities the Indian government was committing against the minorities (Sikhs). And then he suddenly died from heart attack in 2002 and his website seemed to pass away with him. But Its time we archieve as much as we can of what is available.

On his website I found lettters that are alleged to have been written by akali leaders in 1980s that seemed to suggest they were in league with Indian government conspiring against Sant Bhindranwale. And we all seen what the fallout was in june 1984. It's important we do not forget our recent history and persevere important pieces of journalism and evidence.

You meant archive right? That is a brilliant idea. Is there any way we could go about doing this?

yup i think some records exist i did a basic web search and found some. what we can do is take screen shots of the webpages and/or save the websites outright and host them on blog websites.
