Devinder Singh Bhullar will hang: SC rejects mercy plea

Recommended Posts

Personally I say we curse the family of master tara singh, badals, captain amrinder singh (congress party punjab) and maharajah's of former princely Sikh states for entrapping the Sikh kaum in such a situation that in this Indian Union they have no rights to speak as a minority either they are killed off in false encounters, killed by police or killed off by covert pro-indian state terrorist gangs (black cats).

The hindu hand in the attack on darbar sahib is quite clear they started the troubles in punjab where then the congress party who claims to be secular but sided with their hindu breathen against the Sikhs when BJP leader advani said he presssured indira gandhi to attack darbar sahib. It also has been documented that RAW (research analysis wing) of the indian army allowed creates of weaponary into darbar sahib why was this? again a deep rooted conspiracy against the Sikhs. Like a game of chess they set all the pieces so they could attack our faith our people and our institutions to cause maximum hurt and damage. Just like now they plan to hang professor bhullar they have set up the pieces like a game of chess, they have banned sadda haq the movie that highlights injustice against Sikhs, they supreme court of India has allowed sumedh saini the killer of Sikh families to carry on with his duties, they have got other corrupt leaders of world democracies on their side by economic trade influence. They have got 2 of the main militant Sikh groups banned internationally that terrified New Delhi's grip on power. They probably have got assurances from western countries they will crack down on Sikh protectors should there be a violent backlash against the hanging of Sikh political prisoners. So in all ways they have planned things so well to make sure the voice of the oppressed is suffocated in all area's.

The sweet distribution is only half truth. Yes this occurred but certainly not by Delhi Sikhs who were traditionally pro congress

Even if they (delhi sikhs) did distribute sweets - its no grounds for burning them alive

Yes MPs should be contacted - great suggestion Jagtar singh khalsa veer ji

This is a complete farce of justice - Prof sahib's confession was extracted under torture which is invalid under Indian justice system , also 1 out of 3 judges was against death penalty - for death penalty all three SC jduges have to be in agreement.

Moreover they forgave and acquitted - mass murderer Kishori Lal after a wrist on slap few years in Indian jails, but for sikh political activists I guess Hindia uses a different yardstick

As guru ji says when all other avenues of peace and justice are blocked it is rightous to raise the sword. Guru Ji knows best when we dont listen we become victims to the tyrannical system and rulers.

I foresee a change coming soon.....

Bhullar verdict: SGPC reacts strongly to SC ruling, calls it 'murder of democracy'

PTI | Apr 12, 2013, 06.57 PM IST

AMRITSAR: Reacting sharply to the Supreme Court's verdict on Khalistani terrorist Devinderpal Singh Bhullar, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee today said bureaucratic setup of the country was "biased" against Sikhs.

SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar told reporters here that the apex court's decision was "more or less murder of democracy".

"The Government and the courts have done nothing so far to punish the guilty who were responsible for the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, as the accused are still roaming free," said Makkar.

Makkar alleged that bureaucratic setup of the country was "biased against the Sikh community" and the verdict has hurt the sentiments of Sikh community.

"Government should do the needful to extend mercy to Bhullar keeping in view the sentiments of Sikh community, and the apex court should also reconsider its decision on compassionate ground," the SGPC president said.

Meanwhile, radical Sikh outfit Dal Khalsa also criticised the decision.

Khalsa spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh described the decision as "shocking and disturbing" for the Sikh community.

The Supreme Court today rejected the Bhullar's plea, in which the Khalistan terrorist had sought commutation of his death sentence to life imprisonment on ground of delay in deciding his mercy plea.

URGENT ACTION
EXECUTION IMMINENT AFTER PLEA REJECTED

The Supreme Court of India rejected the commutation plea of Devender Pal Singh Bhullar on 12 April. This verdict could affect the cases of at least 17 more prisoners.

Devender Pal Singh Bhullar was sentenced to death in August 2001 for his involvement in a bomb attack in New Delhi in 1993 that killed nine people. He was arrested at the New Delhi Airport in January 1995 under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA), a law that subsequently lapsed, and contained provisions incompatible with international fair trial standards.

Devender Pal Singh Bhullar had no access to a lawyer during his initial detention and trial. He was found guilty on the basis of an unsubstantiated confession that he made to the police. He later retracted his statement, claiming it was made under police pressure. In March 2002, the Supreme Court upheld Devender Pal Singh Bhullars death sentence, though one of the three judges on the bench had found him not guilty, saying there was no evidence to convict him. A review petition was dismissed by the same Supreme Court judges, again by a 2 to 1 majority, in December 2002. Devender Pal Singh Bhullar Bhullar has been receiving treatment at a psychiatric facility in New Delhi and in 2011 his lawyer requested that the Supreme Court consider his mental ill-health as grounds for commuting his death sentence.

The President of India rejected Devender Pal Singh Bhullar's mercy petition in May 2011, eight years after the request was filed. Devender Pal Singh Bhullar challenged the decision before the Supreme Court, seeking commutation of his death sentence on the grounds of inordinate delay in its consideration and challenging the constitutionality of his prolonged stay on death row. The Supreme Court rejected his plea on 12 April. This decision is likely to affect at least 17 more prisoners whose mercy petitions have been rejected by the President.

Please write immediately in Hindi, English or your own language:

Calling upon the Indian government to not execute Devender Pal Singh Bhullar, to remove him from death row immediately, and retry his case in proceedings that comply with international fair trial standards.

Urging them to immediately halt any further executions, commute all death sentences to terms of imprisonment, and establish an official moratorium on executions with a view to abolishing the death penalty;

Reminding the Indian authorities that the UN General Assembly has repeatedly called for a moratorium on executions with a view to abolishing the death penalty, and pointing out that Indias decision to resume executions has set the country against regional and global trends towards abolition of the death penalty.

And these same low life fu**u says that movie like sadda haq brings fear of possible friction between Hindus and Sikhs. What bloody do they think their rejection of plea and hanging will do between Hindus and Sikhs. Digging their own grave as young folks like me who haven't seen what happened in 80's and 90's will probably now see the pure evil of Delhi sarkar.
