The main senior judge actually said that he is not guilty and should be released.

The other two junior judges were against the verdict of their senior.

How can they still reject the petition when all three judges do not agree and the senior judge says he is not guilty?!

They will hang bhai sahib because he is Sikh.

More and more Sikhs are realising this.....

Only way now is for the akal takht to declare an agitation morcha against the sentence then all Sikhs will rise in punjab and it will rock delhi again. So everyone instead of leading pointless petitions and demonstrations outside embassy's and government buildings you have seen its fallen on deaf ears.....

its time to call upon the akal takht to take a stand for a Sikh who stood up for Sikhs (professor bhullar) in the war against the injustices of India.

Eveyone email SGPC and tell them we demand they take a stand for our fellow Sikh brother

The Akaal Takht is in Badal and India's clutches. They couldn't stand up for a movie to be released, they won't do anything.

Remember last year when Sikhs around the world rised up for bhai rajoana? it was because enough pressure was put on SGPC and akal takht jathedhar that they had to do something otherwise they would have been laughing stocks and forced to resign. That time has come again, if enough pressure is created on our so called leaders they will have to take a stand and issue the call to arms.

Last thing india needs is a war with the Sikh nation, and Punjab to be plunged into turmoil again kashmir's will rise again and trap the indian army with the punjab aflame. The enemies of India are all too willing to exploit the situation.... china and pakistan would be all to eagar to supply moral, financial and military support if worst comes to the worst. The indian government is not stupid they know the financial and human cost of going to war with its "own" people.

Justice Katju seeks pardon for Bhullar

NEW DELHI: Press Council of India (PCI) chairperson Justice Markandey Katju has written to President Pranab Mukherjee seeking pardon for Devender Pal Singh Bhullar who has been awarded death sentence in connection with the 1993 Delhi bomb blast case.

Katju's letter comes close on the heels of a two-judge bench of the Supreme Court rejecting the plea of Bhullar, a Khalistani terrorist and death row convict Bhullar in a judgement that paves the way for his execution.

Katju said that Bhullar has been in detention since his arrival in India in January 1995 i.e over 18 years and added that he had suffered prolonged mental agony and trauma for this long period in death row with a Damocles' sword hanging over his head.

Assigning reasons behind his plea, Katju said Supreme Court had earlier rejected Bhullar's appeal against his death sentence by a 2-1 majority, not by a unanimous decision and added that the senior most judge on the bench Justice M B Shah had acquitted Bhullar.

Katju said that he had perused the judgement of Justice Shah who had noticed that the only evidence against Bhullar is his alleged confessional statement to the investigating office.

Justice Shah has observed that "when the rest of the accused who are named in the confessional statement are not convicted or tried, this was not a fit case for convicting the appellant solely on the basis of the so called confessional statement recorded by the police officer", Katju wrote.

He added that Justice Shah noticed in his judgement that there was nothing on record to corroborate the aforesaid alleged confessional statement.

Katju's letter said that when rest of the accused who are named in the confessional statement are not convicted or tried, this would not be a fit case for convicting the appellant solely on the basis of so-called confessional statement recorded by the police officer.

Katju said that the majority view of the bench has to be accepted as the judgement of the court but added that the considerations under Article 72/161 of the Constitution were different from those in judicial proceeding.

Read some comments over there by Hindustanis, so pathetic, they brand every other SIKH/MUSLIM/DALIT/CHRISTIAN AS TERRORIST. They are so dumb, their media is so biased.

They won't read what mr. katju is saying, what truth he is portraying, won't use their brain and think even for 1 minute, is this what has happened? Has he been tried for a thumb-impression based self-confession taken on blank paper??? Only he has been tried, and no body else? He has been brought from Germany with a treaty not to convict him for life?

WITH HEAVY HEART I HAVE TO MAKE A STATEMENT - THEY WERE BETTER OFF GULAAMS ...
