Guru Nanak sahib at Mecca

Our history say that Guru Nanak sahib went to Mecca and as mullah turned his feet to otherside, Mecca rotated to that side. But faithless missionaries refute that saying it is not possible.

There is Gurdeep s johl who writes on this forum that he does not believe in this.

Showing miracles is against Gurmat.

But rotation of Mecca is endorsed in Bhai Gurdas ji Vaar also. Bhai sahib was born during last year of Guru Angad dev ji and lived till time of Sri hargobind sahib.

Missionary mindset does not understand that miracles are not caused but occur as will of God to aid his devotees.

Many young minds come to this forum for learning sikhi.What type of example we are giving them by disowning our history?

Great topic veerji. The Makkah rotation saakhi finds mention by non other than Bhai Gurdas Jee's varaan. As Sant Gurbachan Singh Bhinranwale jee mentions, some(very few actually) began denying this saakhi out of fear of Muslims.

Like the makkah rotation, another Saakhi from the jeevani of bhagat namdev jee mentions the rotation of a Mandhir. This event is mentioned in Gurbani itself. Gurbani mentions many such miracles of Vaheguru that have occurred. Unfortunately many missionaries are so brainwashed by the metriculation passed Gurbaksh Singh Kala Afghana that they cannot think outside the box.

Yes Mecca changed its direction.... Yes Guru Nanak Devji stopped a rock with his one palm.

Yes Snake did Shadow on Guru Nanak Devji....

Yes Guruji was able to read the mind of muslim guys who were reading namaz....

Yes Guruji was there whenever his sister Nanaki thinks of him to b there....

Yes Tulsan became unconscious when she came to know that Guruji when to save people who were stuck on ship in ocean with the power of his dreams.....

Yes miracle happens....last kalu g father of Guruji did so much tapasya to have a avatar...he did get,...but he was not able to recognize.....

Gurdeepsinghjohal has a good knowledge of sikhi...but everyone di not support miracles..that does not mean he is at fault...its good that he wrote something against a miracle....atleast people will bother to search more on sikhi to know what is the actual fact....

There are solid facts about Guru sahib's visit to this place. What is his basis for disowning this occurrence.

Missionaries just want to prove that their Bulls**t Parchar is more miraculous than Our Satguruji's Miracle.

If they say Miracle are against Gurmat.....then SGGSJI is also miracle because SGGSJi bani cannot be written by any human......If you get cured from Illness and DIsease by reading Bani.....it is also Miracle.......If Baba Deep singh ji Carried his head on this Palm just to save his Sikh Dharam......Then that is ALso Miracle..

Sikhi is not about miracles and it shouldn't be advertised as such.

a sakhi is about the lesson and the point, not about the miracle.

Gurus could do riddi siddis, which are powers one can attain from intense meditation.

But Guruji condemns us from using these powers to perform shows and miracles.

You should know that clairvoyants, aura readers, hypnotists..etc.... ALL obtain their skills and powers by meditating. However, Guruji warns us NOT to go this way and instead use riddi siddi to MERGE with akaal purakh.

Lets not be too cynical. Nothing is impossible for Guru Sahibs. Equally lets not reduce their lives to nothing but stories about supernatural prowess in this game of one-upmanship with other faiths ("My messenger / incarnation of God is better than yours"), therefore forgetting the essence of what they taught and lived. That is the true miracle. The lesser kind are dazzling at first, but it's the other kind - the miracle of their bachchans - that should leave an indellible mark on us all.

It's sad because the missionary quarter raises some pertinent points that would otherwise be listened to wholeheartedly, but there's just something about the way they conduct themselves, almost as if they're trying to negatively affect the shardaa of Sikhs that dissuades me from agreeing with them.

Problem here is that I do not agree with(physical) rotation of Mecca story, my views are different.

The bigger problem is if you do not believe in miracles you are not sikh.

People here make miracles more prominent and important but when it comes to

Guru Granth Sahib GPS says what if one can not read and write.

Sikh means student, I am student of my Guru Granth Sahib If I want to meet him I need to read and

understand Gurbani.

But that's just the thing, even those famous scholars who have translated according to Viakaran i.e. Prof Sahib Singh, Giani Harbans Singh, Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh, Kartar Singh Dakha, Bhai Vir Singh Jee all have translated in support of the miracles mentioned in Gurbani. So I don't know which Viakaran Vidhvaan you are following.
