How do we make sure Sikh related video's deleted by youtube are not lost forever

I been looking on youtube playlists and some of the Sikh related video's i had added are now seen as deleted quite alot of them were videos to do with Sikhs in afghanistan and others due to 3rd party copyright infringements.

Anyone else noticed this? And how do we preserve important rare footage for reference and future generations.

Use something like download helper for Firefox.

Other than personal ripping, this needs a team of volunteers (or a/several paid position) to search, rip and archive videos.

Of course this requires co-ordination and sustained effort.

Also where does it sit in our panthic priorities? Do we even have a clear vision?
