ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫ਼ਤਹਿ

We have published two basic Punjabi apps for Windows 8 and Windows Phone that teach young children the basics of Punjabi; the alphabets, common fruit and vegetables, common animals, colors, numbers and shapes. Trying to learn more about their heritage and culture, Sikh and Punjabi children may benefit from this application; a foundation in the language is beneficial in understanding Sikhi.

The phone app was published about 6 months ago and we just released the Windows 8 app. Both are free, and not driven by ads.

We have bigger plans with Punjabi apps for children; if you want to help, especially with native programming for Windows 8, visit the website: http://www.amritpunjabi.com/ and contact us. We have spent a lot of time and effort over the past 1.5 years in developing these tools, and want to build on what we have learned.

Help make our tools better! Spread the word! Learn Punjabi! Participate! And did we mention, the tools are FREE!

    • Most LGBTQ people I have met or worked with, never mentioned what they are or made a big deal of it.  I think there is a very small but loud/active minority, and a lot of their cheerleaders are 'liberal' media types and 'celebrities'.

Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon slammed the “unacceptable” action by Britain's Home Office to detain the Indian men, especially as it came during celebrations for the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr, in an area hit by the pandemic. The Home Office said in a statement that the men were detained "in relation to suspected immigration offences" and had been released on bail.   LIVE UPDATES: Parts of Fiji to enter lockdown Two men are released from an Immigration Enforcement police van in Glasgow. (AP) Ms Sturgeon said in a tweet that Police Scotland officers had been put in an “invidious position” after being called to support the Home Office operation. “To act in this way, in the heart of a Muslim community as they celebrated Eid, and in an area experiencing a COVID outbreak was a health & safety risk," she said. Police were first called to Kenmure Street in Glasgow, Scotland's largest city, at about 10am where the Immigration Enforcement van with the men in it was surrounded by protesters, including neighbours of the men. o stop it from moving, while others sat in the road. The crowd chanted “Leave our neighbours, let them go” and “Cops go home." Police Scotland said the decision to finally release the men had been made “to protect the safety, public health and well-being” of all involved.   Protestors block a UK Home Office van to stop it from leaving with two arrested men. (AP) Videos posted on social media showed cheers going up as the doors of the van were opened and the men emerged. Protester Mohammad Asif, the director of the Afghan Human Rights Foundation, said the demonstration was a response to the “hostile environment” created by the British government.
