Disgusting, shocking and heart-wrenching. How can anyone even consider harvesting a young person's organs? Truly a display of no morals and pure, utter greed. I hope they lock up the doctor responsible for a very long time.

Looks like the corupt lyers are up to their old tricks:
From Times of India:
CHANDIGARH/KHANNA: Punjab health department on Thursday ruled out any possibility of harvesting of organs of eight-year-old UK-based girl, GurkirenKaur Loyal, whose parents had alleged foul play during her treatment at a hospital near Ludhiana when they visited India, even as police initiated criminal proceedings to ascertain the exact cause of her death.
The state-run Rajendra hospital and Medical College in Patiala, which had conducted the girl's post mortem examination, verified that Loyal's organs were intact. "All organs are at the government laboratory. Her parents were informed about this regular autopsy procedure," Punjab principal secretary (health) Vini Mahajan told TOI. The Birmingham-based family of Gurkiren, who died seconds after being administered an injection at a private clinic in Khanna on April 2, had said on Tuesday that their kid's organs were missing and suspected that these could be used for illegal transplant. Maintaining that the autopsy report was inconclusive, Dr SS Oberoi, head of forensic medicine and toxicology at Rajendra Hospital, Patiala, however, said that the girl's liver, kidney and intestines had been sent for chemical examination at the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) at Kharar in Mohali district.

"Her heart and brain were retained at the pathology department at the hospital. The viscera report from Kharar needs to be examined and will be shared with the girl's parents. We were not satisfied with the post mortem examination report," said Dr Oberoi. He refused to share any details.

The Punjab Police has started criminal proceedings to find the cause of Gurkiren's death. "The SHO has initiated proceedings under Section 174 of the CrPC. Whenever a person dies under mysterious circumstances, police on its own marks an investigation under the section. Investigations are on," said Khanna SSP S Boopthi.

"The post-mortem examination was done by a board of doctors at the Patiala hospital before the body was handed over to the parents. Final report of doctors is awaited," said Boopthi.

According to the Khanna police, Gurkiren was brought dead at the private clinic in Khanna when her parents shifted her from Modgill Clinic on April 2. "She was treated at Modgill Clinic and as her condition deteriorated, she was referred to the nursing home where she was declared dead on arrival," a note from the Khanna police said. Police also said Gurkiren's parents had insisted on not registering an FIR report on the girl's death. Gurkiren was on a vacation in Punjab during the Easter break
