Hanji veerji Vatican is small in space and depends on catholics around the globe but Punjab is huge and rich in agriculture and punjabis are hard worker and they will become more useful if proper resources and funds given to them.

Funding and other misc. stuff is not biggy thing... However problem is the mentality of people living there and 50years of brainwashed by false biased India.

Guru Gobind Singh Jee did set up the system for us to follow. When He selected Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, he also assigned Panj Pyaras with Baba Jee. Although Baba Banda Singh Bahadur was the leader of the Sikhs, but it was his duty to ask and consult the Panj Pyaras before making a dicision. Baba Jee also showed us how a Sikh leader should be. He was humple, acting like a sevak of the Panth, he was a true Sant Sipahi. He never became a king nor did he issue coins in his name. That is the kind of political system we need.

Veeray, I completely agree with you regrading people brain washed under generations biased political propaganda and in some ways I agree Punjab will need to be an independent state. The problem arises, when we are looking for political leaders.

Many have mentioned, we should allow Punj pyaray to take control but we know the role of Punj pyaray is to be divine and help as guides on path to God.

Would we need separate Punj pyaray as political leaders, who are politicly aware of what is required to run the country?

Sikhi is a way of life in which 'politics' are ingrained. Thats why we have a sikh bank, sarbar khalsa etc.

I think all of these questions are redundant as a system is already in place to use.

Election is anti-gurmat as it makes people fight for no reason, and results in corruption. Selection, is our way.

Are they? I apologise for any misunderstanding but where is it?

As a religion "YES" but we are talking about running a country and economy.

So Punjab will be a communist state, who will select these leaders if not by vote from the people.

This selection, thats more open to corruption.

It will be a democratic state because it will be ruled by Sikhs

Will it? We can't even run a simple Gurdwara as one community.

How are Sikhs going to run Punjab and even if Punjab gets it's independence how do we know 100% it will be run as a Sikh state. The majority of the people may not want the country to be run as a Sikh state.

I think people do not really know what they want out of independence, no one has really understood about the economy and how Punjab can compete at a global scale.

Where is the money going to come from to improve infrastructure and future development

Punjab is not like Saudi Arabia, where it has huge amount of natural resource like oil. Punjab has no natural resource and even the land has been exhausted by over farming.

So the other option we have is foreign investment, how are we going to attract foreign investment into Punjab?

I concur with the brothers and that it should be based on the teachings of Sikhi. Democracy is fine but what if we have a majority that wants to carry on drinking sharab in the open and smoke narcotics? Laws are needed to curb the excesses men and woman fall prey to.
