From speeches it seems like sant jee realized nefarious plan of sgpc/akali dal. Akali dal started the rumor and blamed sant jee for bhai sodhi's death. They also played tricks that sant is leaning to congress etc.

Also, sant jee supported and respected longowal very much, only that later on longowal banned sant jee speaking or holding any dewan inside or anywhere near manji sahib hall.

Yes, badal was around but he was not considered as major player of that, longowal was.. Sant jee was so popular that longowal and other akali ppl like badal, ramowalia and others worried about loosing support of sikh people.

Also in his one of his last speech, santji called takht jathedars of playing politics and even lying for political reasons.

But could that be a Congress lie about Sant Jee saying anything bad about Akal Takht?

I think when Damdami Taksal supported Raghunandan Lal Bhatia the Congress (indira) candidate in 1980 election for Amritsar is when Akali's got mad

He never said anything negative about sri akal takht but however explained his displeasure on how akalis and some played cheap tricks on him. Seems like Sant jee had a very open transparency attitude and clearly speaks truth.

One need to listen to his speech to understand what and how akalis (be it tohra, talwandi, lomgowal etc) stabbed dagger in the back.

This does not surprise me at all that sant jee was betrayed , our own have been our biggest enemies throughout history, even during the times of the Guru's their own family members were against them, and during the times of Maharaja Ranjit singh and before then the misals were fighting amongst themselves and finally today Gurdwara committes, jathebandis etc. No wonder no one takes us seriously, then we wonder why there are so many bad things happening to us !
