Why Is Guru Gobind Singh Ji's Horse Blue?

Recommended Posts

yh, as in all the pictures the horse is vivid blue. Similar to how Shiva is painted blue, thought that may have something to do with it but I guess it may be coincidence??

These are what are called blue roans, they do look good. this colour is a recessive colour i think, but i am not sure whether it features in any indian horse, or even arab horse.

Sometime you see paintings of Guru Ji on a white horse, that is a more common painting.

I thought it was a dark sky blue colour ???

A few years ago I did find the name and origin of this kind of horse and from what I remember they can be found in mid-west USA.

I believe Guruji's was a gift from middle east arabs/moghuls.

I will try and see if I can find this info again and will try to post it on here.
