Maybe not during sports like Golf Veerji if you're wearing a du-rag then. But if u feel it would be anti-Gurmat then just wear special hi-tech shades with your Dastaar.

I mean while wearing a round dastar would it be considered against Gurmat?

Yeah shades isn't a problem, but I just wanted to be sure before I went out and bought a visor for a hike.

IN DAAS'S OPINION BCOZ ANYTHING WHICH IS KEPT ON HEAD AND NOT TIED IS CAP..JUST MY 2 CENTS..I MAY BE WRONG... BUT IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE ON SAFER SIDE...

It's not really a hat, is it? All it does is cover the eyes, I don't think protecting your eyes from damage is anti-gurmat.

Maybe it's ok because it's not as if you are wearing the visor as a replacement for the dastar, like those people who wear caps instead. Your main aim is most likely protecting your eyes from the sunlight whilst hiking. Although I think in your case getting sunglasses would be your best option, they will look better and be more comfortable with your dastar compared to a visor.
