Agree with others, dodgy characters. This Pardeep has made numerous insults against Akhand Kirtani Jatha and other Gursikhs.

And where are the dhaaris? Seriously if anything it's encourging Singhs to shave more as it might make them look more 'tidy'.

The "fashion" (and I use the term very loosely) is God awful. I have no idea how someone can like that sort of stuff. Looks very girly & gay, not what Singhs should be wearing.

Difference between bhramgyani and us is of cham dristhi thats the probably main difference. Bhramgyani is advait/sam dristh sees goodness/guns in others instead of avguns including sinners try to invoke more gunas in people which itself rid of avguns slowly by updesh/gurmat and we have cham dristh..we judge people based on outlook and reject them outright. We are real chamars here based on our perception of judging others by look and thats the probably why we cannot get anywhere in terms of avastha.

These same fanatics try to kill sant jarnail singh khalsa bhindranwale with their irakha/dvaish-partiality to gain control so having cham dirsthi against others its pretty normal for them.. but how can you kill a sant ji which parkash which exist in all..they all failed.

Sure as i mentioned earlier, those people with fashion statement are not ideal or perfect but its lot positive media coverage than negative press we have been getting in west thanks to exterme element in our panth-

Welcome to modern age folks! There's nothing wrong being modern and Sikh (these two terms shouldn't be separated since Sikhi is pretty modern religion as it is).

I am not into fashion, but I have no problems of other Sikhs dressing up and making fashion statements as long they don't disrespect Sikhi in the end (in this case, they're not)

Excellent point Neo, too many egos, causing many to look down on other Sikhs just because they don't look 'complete' in their eyes.

If they make a positive contribution to Sikhi and have love for Guru - then they are definitely Sikh in my eyes.

This is not a personal comment directed at the kids in the picture rather to an entire society of 'sikhs' (you and I) who are doing more damage to Sikhi than any outside forces.

To be yourself and trim can perhaps be chalked up to a personal psychological baggage etc. However, to decide to represent and advertise oneself as specifically Sikh with the Sikh look and trim is immature, irresponsible, unschooled, and uncouth. A trimmed beard is as much about fashion in the Sikh context as is severe self-mutilation in any other context.

When did something based in shame and illiteracy become something of which one is proud?

As a Sikh, have the guts to be the lone one who speaks up eloquently amongst the masses. Empower those masses and then humble yourself to also learn from them.
