LANGAR MAKING US FAT ?

Even in the times of Guru Angad Dev Sahib Ji, there was delicious Kheer which was made with ghee. (Mmmm...Kheer...  ...must...focus...). It is us that have slowed down...don't blame the Langar.

I'm not saying that having kheer is bad, I'm talking about having seven different desserts that seems to be the problem. I'm a fan of kheer along with everyone else.

I just think that the quantity of dishes is just too much sometimes.

But that doesn't mean that we shouldn't try to keep things simple. I read a Sakhi where Guru Sahib used to eat something very similiar to gruel during langar. :T:

its a shame but we as Panjabi's have imigrated to all over the globe but have not changed our life style.

the antie at gurdwara still fries the bangan as well as the onions and aloo and then put tarka to all. " a recipe for a Heart attack" says the Doc.

I eat langar no matter how heavy or light they are..

By comparing my home cooked meal with langar.. i find 20X times more fat/oil/ghee in langar food.. Which of course it makes langar more Awesome.. but it's not good for a person who have health issues.. But 4 times langar in a month, i think it won't make a dent on the person health system if he/she control his diet for rest of the 26 days
