Christian Missionaries Targeting The Sikh Community

Recommended Posts

Sat veer, the Dastara part was not about this thread but disunity in general.

Many Sikhs in Punjab don't even know the basics of Sikhi, we need to make leaflets and distribute them in villages. Leaflets such as Guru in Sikhi (making them aware against Dehdhari Gurudom), Women and Sikhi, Alcohol/Drugs and Sikhi (with scientific proofs too) Caste and Sikhi, Idol Worship and Sikhi, etc as you see just the basics but well argumented, short & to the point with Gurbani quotes and examples from everyday life to speak directly to the readers.

It could provoke hindu mobs if you gave out idol worship statues caste ones probably ain't going to sink in but you might aswell sort them out. I think more then leaflets sikhs need to do medicinal help and offer medical aid, christians, hindus and muslims offer them in same shape or form to their own sikhs used to offer it in the gurus time but we don't anymore.

we need to go back to basics preaching in the pinds real Sikhi not the agenda of any Jatha bandthy

People usually say that and then use that as the front for their own jatha in the end

I agree with you Dalbir Singh JI though SikhKosh Veerji does as well, of course (with parchaar via leaflets easily running parallel).

christians, hindus and muslims offer them in same shape or form to their own sikhs used to offer it in the gurus time but we don't anymore.

Dalbir Singh Veerji, been reading some really great posts by yourself recently but on this I gotta slightly disagree.

SGPC and the Sikh Panth run more free hospitals than any other faith organisation in India. Pingalwara and Kagidhar Trust are doing great efforts on the free medical assistance front too. SGPC's mistake is that they waste money on fireworks at Diwali when it should go to the poor, wasting money on buildings+statues while Sikh children can't get education or healthcare etc.

And oddly, wherever Christians + Muslims are pimping out their Abrahamic lies, SGPC free medical assistance always vanishes!

The very focus of each and every Gurdwara has got to be practical samaj seva and charitably uplifting society around us with inspiration from Gurbani. If we step up seva to the poor, regardless of if they accept Sikhi or not, Sikhi will still be victorious.

Paiji thanks to the compliments, I don't mind if people disagree or question what I say, I think we should all question things it's healthy for the sikh intellects and for the growth of our kaums wise men.

I will say look at this guy first and assess if the medical facilities are enough some of those sgpc hospitals don't seem to be working simply because punjab seems to be increasing in the number of patients with cancer, sarna made a hospital which was caught out under huge embezzlement charges, if his opposition party were able to rat him out just think what kinds of embezzlement could be going on with the others.

Pigalwala has done great work I don't want to put them down, but they were an independent organisation the sgpc could have supported them more. Plus compared to the population of sikhs more of it is needed.

As for the quality of the sgpc hospitals all I can say is if you were in india and weren't well I would advise you stay clear of the sgpc hospital pay your money and go private, government and sgpc hospitals aren't exactly experts in quality assurance.

I totally agree with what you say above Veerji. Corruption with regards to SGPC needs to be dealt with the same way Guru Gobind Singh Ji dealt with the Mahants. And totally agreed that we need to do a lot more on the medical seva front. And not just in Punjab, we have to do seva for everyone in India and Africa as well (as that's where most new Sikhs will come from too).

As usual it's Khalsa Aid who brought the youtube video and we need your help too so that ADMIN Ji can get the www.KhalsaAid.org SikhSangat PURE program donation counter set up on the Muhammad Alam conversion thread.

who makes these leaders leaders? Its followers, who make them leaders, so lets see you do soemthing yourself. Whats going in YOUR village? Any worthwhile parchar? Any poor Sikhs YOU could be helping?

Dont look at those leaders who cant change themselves or the situation around them. Instead step into their shoes yourself. Whats stopping you?

sat bro, so you are doing nothing outside the parameters of your own family.

Man up and say you dont do anything. dont give me that you cant do anything excuse. you dont have the resources to help ONE sikh in india? at the current exchange rate? Do me a favour geezer.

dont take this personally either (although you already have) i ask this question to everyone who bleats, " our leaders dont do nothing" "our gurdwara committtees are corrupt" .

as mahatma gandhi said "be the change you want to see in the world".

our leaders are rubbish, but what is our youth?

Seem a bit rude in your comments, your attitude could do with being looked at, you talk sikhi but where is the love, humility, grace in your approach ? :ohno: its no wonder a lot of potential people who want to get involved get put of by people with your attitude are you asking people to get involved or frightening them off !!

The 'Christian' menace is surely a greater menace to us than the Muslim. Whilst the muslim one comes in the form of individuals with a zeal, but little resources, to convert others, the Christian one is extremely organised and far reaching. Just to give you an example, there is a course that is run in a few Canadian Universities, especially Trinity Western University, specifically teaching its students how they should go about converting Sikhs to Christianity. Universities teaching a degree in how to convert sikhs !!!! :wow: Think about that for a moment.

I've had a look at the study modules for the course and it is truly frightening. Far far more frightening than what one lone muslim man in the high street can preach.

The modules state how the student will learn how to go inside the Gurdwara, be inquisitive and friendly with the Sikhs and generally give the impression that they are genuinely interested in Sikhism. The course modules actually state how the student must learn not to give the game away too early. It teaches how it is important to first gain the trust of the Sikh community and then, after trust has been gained, slowly start making statements about Jesus etc. Truly truly frightening.

So that is where you learnt your tricks from? Not only are you a sick rapist-lover, you're extremely and terribly bad at disguising yourself.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
