Sikh Response To Hukam In This Video

Does karma go against hukam?

Vaheguru has created a system of action and reaction. Everything that happens within that system is within His hukam. His Hukam and it's workings are so great that it is beyond our limited intellect. Everything that happens to us is a result of our past karams, but at the same time when someone does something bad to us it does not necessarily mean it is a result of our past karmas, maybe the aggressor has created a new bad karma by doing something bad and for that he will pay in the future.

No soul leaves the earth before its agenda is complete. Even when someone dies he/she is given a choice to go back. Our Sikh sangat really needs to familar with the NDE experiences with people, now thousand of documented cases. Death usually means integration of a being. Being born is rather a state of disintegration in three parts body, mind and soul, which seems like being pulled in different directions causing the confusion of life. Making it worst the forgetfullness one has when born, which is necessary for it to creates its new experience.

Hukam is always perfect. We just cant see the whole picture of lives interacting in the Martix (big picture)

Agreed with all of the above Jonny Veerji

Everything that happens to us is a result of our past karams,

Strongly disagree with that though Pyare Veer. The Islamic Ghallugharas of our Panth, the Pakistani Genocide of Sikhs in 1947 and the Congress GOI Genocide of Sikhs entirely repudiate the concept that devout Gursikhs suffered as a result of past karams. Karma refers specifically to actions in this life (for which there is undeniably an action and reaction which takes one further or closer to merging with God). It was only Manu Smriti, the handbook of Hindu terrorism and caste discrimination that invented the lie that present day suffering is as a result of past sins. Sikhi rejects this Hindu concept entirely. All evil actions in 1947+1984 were done by our enemies rather than deserved punishment for the supposed past sins of devout Gursikhs.

but at the same time when someone does something bad to us it does not necessarily mean it is a result of our past karmas, maybe the aggressor has created a new bad karma by doing something bad and for that he will pay in the future.

The whole "payment for present sins in a future life" is classical Hindutva philosophy Veerji.

Guru Sahib never presumed to finitely box in or define God's unlimited and infinite methods for ensuring Justice as per Hukam..

In Sikhi, both nadar (grace) and karma (fruits of actions of past lives) have a role to play in what happens in our life.

Pyare Veer, karma in Sanskrit specifically means actions of this life.

Only in Manu Smriti did it begin to be perverted to the meaning of previous lives.

There is also a third element at play, the grace of Gurmukhs/Sants - such sants are parupkari (merciful to others) and so pray to Vaheguroo to take on some of the bad karma of another person, the event will then happen to that person.

Veerji my limited understanding of Sikhi is that we do not believe in intercession like the Hindu's + Muslims with pirs + sadhu's doing deals for us.

Dalbir Singh Veerji. Everything is part of Hukam at the ultimate level. If the dude survives (injured or unscathed) let us thank God (rather than his so-called actions in a previous life). If he's paralysed then let us focus on blaming that on the shooters rather than the one suffering. If the innocent dies - clearly solely as a result of the evil murderers - then that should mean mukthi and merger with The One.

Veerji, I also said that when someone(an aggressor) does something bad to you, it does not necessarily mean you are being punished for a previous karma on your part. It can also mean that the aggressor has now created a new (bad) karma on himself for which he will be liable in future. Gurbani also gives reference to Karma system. In Japji Sahib it says in the 20th Pauri:

ਪੁੰਨੀ ਪਾਪੀ ਆਖਣੁ ਨਾਹਿ ॥ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਣਾ ਲਿਖਿ ਲੈ ਜਾਹੁ ॥ ਆਪੇ ਬੀਜਿ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਖਾਹੁ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਹੁਕਮੀ ਆਵਹੁ ਜਾਹੁ ॥੨੦॥

http://www.gurugranthdarpan.com/darpan2/0004.html read Prof Sahib Singh Jee's arth and explanation.

These tukhs are clear evidence of the existance of a Karmic system where Guru Jee explains one should not just say Paap and Punn karam is nothing, because what ever action you take is all being written down, what you sow so shall you reap, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Jee says with the hukam of Vaheguru you will come and go in the cycle of transmigration based on your karmas.

The Karmic system of justice is a universal truth. Every action will have a reaction. Do not dismiss something simply because Hindus also coincidentally happen to believe it. This is what Kala Afghanists/missionaries do. They dismiss anything even if it is written in Bani just because Hindus also happen to believe it. So their phobia of Hindus is so great that they are willing to say Bani is lying. They have become heretics. Buddhists and Jains also believe in reincarnation and Karmic system, yet they are distinct from Hinduism.

Do you believe in reincarnation?

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
