Are Sikhs Descendant Of Hindu God Ramchander ?

Recommended Posts

Baba Maha Harnam Singh Murshad of Baba Nand Singh ji himself said that he was Ramchadar ji in one of his previous lives. He spend all his life preaching the word of Guru Nanak. Consciousness raiser its bar everytime it manifests again.

Next he is going to claim to be shiva himself, forget what these babas say

OK confusion cleared as per dr Harnam singh in his california seminar speech , Bachitar Natak is just a naatak with all characters, places and events being imaginary so Sikhs are NOT descendants of Luv Kush or Ram Chander

Also Ram Chander , Krishna are shown to be not important in SGGS by Guru Nanak devji in Ravan Mar Kya Vada Bhaya shabad,

Andhlai dehsir moond mundaya,
Ravan maar kya wada bhaya (SGGS p.350)
(Ten-headed foolish Ravana had his heads
Chopped off. What greatness was there in killing him?)

Jia upaye jugat hath kini
Kali maar kya wada bhaya (SGGS p.350)
(…..Lord Krishna killed the Black Snake.
What sort of bravery it was ?)

Naal kutumb sath vardata
Brahma bhalan Srisht gaya. (SGGS p.350)

(Brahama, the creator, went into the tube in
search of his own creator but found no exit).
Agai ant na paiyo ta ka Kans
Chhed kya wada Bhaya (SGGS p.350)

(……….What bravery was it in killing Kansa?)
Ratan upaye dharaai khir mathya
Hore bhaklaye ji asin kiya (SGGS p.350)

The ocean was churned and jewels taken out
Over which a great feud had occurred.

If Maha Harnam Singh was Ramchander in previous life I was Elvis Presley :)

Ok found something online, can anyone verify this information below?

Sant gyani 108 baba gurbachan Singh Ji Bhindranvaley lists some small facts about the 10 Guru Sahibs on pages 13 to 23 of his book ‘Gurbani Paath Darshan’.
Baba Ji states that the “Bedi” family of Guru Nanak Maharaaj can be linked back to a Kush the son of Siri Raam Chandra. And because a descendant of Kush studied the Vedas at Kanshee the family was called the “Bedi” family.
Guru Angad Maharaaj Ji’s “Tehan” lineage is said to go back to to the son of Siri Lashman Ji whose name was Takh and hence his lineage was known as the ‘Tehan’ family.
Guru Amardass Ji’s “Bhalla” lineage can be linked to the brother of Siri Raam Chandra whose name was Bharath, his son Bhallan is said to have given his name to the “Bhalla” family.
Guru Raamdass Ji’s “Sodhi” lineage can be linked back to Luv the son of Siri Raam Chandra. The descendants of Luv won over the kingdom of “Snoaudh” and from there the “Sodhi” family descends.
In this way Baba Ji has linked all of the Gurus back to the family of Siri Raam Chandra Ji. We cannot deny these links as they are agreed upon not only by Panth-Rattan Baba Gurbachan Singh ‘Khalsa’ but also many other Nirmala, Udasi and Sevapanthi Gurmukh Pyare, Sadhu Sants. This is also confirmed by the writings of Dashmesh Pitta Guru Gobind Singh in ‘Bachittar-Natak’.
Can we really say that the entire of the 10 Gurus lineage linking back to Siri Raam Chandra is a coincidence? Or should we just ignore this true fact just in case we are scared of being classed as ‘Hindus’?
“We have just enough religion to hate one another, but not enough Dharma to love one another.”

Which explains why my signature says what it says. Thanks for speaking the truth veeray :)

PS: In case I change/delete my signature, here it is...

Why is that a signature and not a post, because I don't see any reason to start one which will end up in another stalemate.

agree with the signature, especially the last bit.

In Bachitra natak, Guru sahib considers Ram Chander an ordinary human. He says that these avtars were sent to this world

but they failed to realize God.

When he writes about sodhi and bedi clans, he is comparing house of sri Ram Chandra with that of Guru Nanak and other Gurus.

He writes off spring of Ram Chander family were worldly kings and had weakness like other kings. They were greedy, fought

over land and material possessions. Ultimately they were finished and left with only twenty villages where they did farming.

On the other hand House of Guru Nanak taught religious values and saintly acts. That house is still flourishing.

So it is a comparison between worldly kings and saintly souls.

ਚੌਪਈ ॥
चौपई ॥
CHAUPAI

Guru Nanak spread Dharma in the Iron age and put the seekers on the path.

Those who followed the path propagated by him, were never harmed by the vices.5.

All those who came within his fold, they were absolved of all their sins and troubles,

Their sorrows, their wants were vanished and even their transmigration came to and end.6.

I remember reading somewhere or hearing from someone that in Guru Gobind Singh Ji's writings, he traces his lineage to "Suraj Bansia" - Dynasty of the Sun, and writes that he is a the son of a Kshatriya (warrior) and not the son of a Brahmin. Ram Chandar also traces his lineage to the "Suraj Bansia" Dynasty of the sun warrior background.

This Concept of "Suraj bansia" is carried through to Sikh Weapaary and armour. For example the hilt of many Sikh Swords has a a flat circular shim at the bottom of the hilt, with a protruding rounded spike (which is used for strikes to prssure points etc) if you look at the engravings on this shim they bear the design of a sunburst called "Suraj mukhi" in Punjabi, Also similarly on the front of many shields you will see the sunburst "suraj mukhi" design.

I don't recall the written sources where I have read some of this information, I will look it up if I get a chance.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
