It is promising that you are being aware.

Think of it like this,this has gone on for decades and has been like an underground music scene, once it becomes mainstream (ie happening to the white community) then it suddenly get noticed.

The term "grooming" has only come into play in the last couple of years, they has happened for a lot longer. Just like the term "twerking" has become very famous since Miley Cyrus incident, did not know the word for something African American Women have done for decades, but when a white person does it suddenly it becomes a so called "new craze".

Unfortunately if it does not happen to White Middle Class then the media don't pay attention.

The thing about the Sikh community is that these things flare up, something is done (i.e smash a few heads), things quiten down and then we put our heads in the sand again. The Pak Muslims will go into "hudabaiya", wait for the next generation to come up and start all over again and they tend to get propped by the older males (cousin/uncle) who did the same things a few years earlier.

This cycle needs to be broken.

I bought the paper today nothing about SAS, grooming, can anyone shed some light on this?

Anyhow I donated to SAS this morning, I urge everyone to donate even if it is £1.00. It sends a message to SAS that Sikhs are once again united irrespective of creed, race, caste etc. and the sacrifices of Sikhs in the past have not gone to waste and we WILL look out for our sisters. It also sends a message to the perpetrators we are watching and justice will be served and as a community we have awoken and will now take the fight to our enemies.

To the negligent Police, Council, Social Services etc. we are aware of your corruption & inaction and this situation will no longer be tolerated by the good people of Britain & the world. I will be writing soon to the UN & NATO to launch air strikes against our corrupt UK organizations to protect us Sikhs.

I don't think this is narrow mindedness. It is no secret how our parents raise our children. I will give you an example of what I mean. Just recently I had a relative's daughter who married a Muslim man. While my family were sitting with relatives and saying how sad it was that such a thing happened, but the daughters of many of these relatives were saying "so what? love is blind, if she love's him that's all that should matter". When I heard girls who are my relatives having such views I blame it on bad parenting because it's the responsibility of parents to insure they pass on moral values to their children. Those girls have grown up with parents who give them absolutely no religious knowledge little attention to their daughters and instead all they(the parents) care about is doing Chuglis with other ladies, buying their suits and going to parties. Our parents do not give their daughters traditional Sikh morals. My own sister, before she got married, my parents knew where she was going, who her friends were. When a teenage girl(who is a child) is being exploited I feel for her. But who will we blame when a mature Sikh girl in her 20s willingly goes to pubs with her friends, drinks and has sexual relations with strange men? Such girls(in their 20s) are clearly a result of bad parenting.

Only way to save your child in this increasingly Kalyugi world is to give them religious values and attach them to Gurbani from a young age. Go to Gurdwaras as a family, find a Giani who can give your child Gurbani Santhya, encourage your child to read and memorize Gurbani, that is the only way. A Sikh child should become Nitnemi by age 10.

I agree! That's how a lot of Sikh mothers are these day. Way too liberal for my liking. Saying it's fine for their daughters to marry muslims or gore.nsome are even proud that their daughters have married gore. Like they have moved up in the social ladder!

Let me tell you something, if any of my female relatives ever got married to a Muslim I would never in a million years attend the wedding or have anything to do with them. That's how the majority of apne would have reacted even just 15 years ago before this liberalism.

It only results in having very confused children and in a lot of cases divorce.

This, awesome post pa ji. Most people in our community these days are more concerned with being Punjabi than being Sikh. Sikhi means very little to them. Picking out the best suits, jewelry (gahnay), getting drunk, listening to stupid bhangra songs is way more important than going to Gurdwara and learning about Sikhi.

To all parents/future parents, please instill Sikhi knowledge in your children, girls AND boys. More important than keeping hair, they should learn about our history, the sacrifices of our ancestors, and read Guru Granth Sahib Ji and understand it, apply it to their lives and live it, a love of Gurbani is very important, anyone who loves the Guru's word will be able to make the right choices in life, as a parent you won't always be there for them, you don't know who they are talking to at school or work, or what they're gonna do when they move away for University. Being a dictator won't work, because when they're out of your sight they WILL rebel, that's just the way kids are, trust me I'm in Uni and see what goes on.

Instead of dictating every aspect of their lives, give them that knowledge of Gurbani, it contains all the answers they will ever need. Don't make all the decisions for your children, teach them how to, through the word of the Guru, make good decisions for themselves. "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, TEACH a man to fish and you feed him for life".

Also, sewa is very important. Our religion is one that emphasizes philanthropy, and we should be damn proud of it. Get your kids involved with some sort of charity work, my Gurdwara goes out on a weekly basis to the poor parts of our city and gives fresh, hot langar to the homeless/needy people. I see little kids getting involved with this stuff, and they are surrounded by great sangat, this is important because the best way to teach your kids is to lead by example, teach them the values our Gurus gave to us, and then also show them, through your OWN example, how those values can be practically applied to life. Even though I come from a keshdari/practicing family, it wasn't until I started to get involved with sewa initiatives that I really fell in love with Sikhi and really started to see the value of the Gurus word. Be the kind of man/woman you would want your son/daughter to grow up to be like. Teach them to love Guru Ji's bani, teach them Sikh history, get involved with sewa, lead by example, when we change ourselves it won't matter what Muslims or anyone else is doing, we as individuals and a community will be strong enough to face whatever is thrown our way.

PS: Someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE record the documentary, I live in Canada so it is impossible for me to watch, but I would love to see it and show my family members and see if I can get my Gurdwara to play it as well. Thank you

Forget the child protection services, the police or any other departments. These agencies may have failed and this should be addressed and looked at immediately.

But the biggest failure this girl had was her own parents! They should have rounded up these guys and took them out one by one. Instead of her parents chasing the police up with the matter, they should have rescued this girl themselves!

Great to see the scumbags jailed finally!
