As a Muslim myself, I don't believe ghosts are among us. But cool all the same.

Hey brotha, either your post is confusing or misleading. Quran talks about Jinns which are basically same thing.

Fear is the root of all the dual existence.

Those that die in fear are said to become ghosts.

However, if one starts to believe and immerse themselves in other parallel existences, then they are immersing themselves in MORE Duality and AWAY from the One Divine God.

We shouldn't pay too much attention to this because there are other places where our attention should be.

According to Gurbani, evil and good spirits do exist. In the tenth ashtpadi of Siri Sukhmani Sahib, Guru Sahib has described the creation of Vaheguru and in that he has written the following verses:

KAYEE KOT JAKHIYA, KINNER, PISHAACH||

KAYEE KOT BHOOT PRET SOOKAR MRIGAACH||

Meanings - word by word:

Kayee: Many

Kot: 10 million

Jakhiye: Kind of demigods who are ruled by Kuber devta. A very interesting tale in Mahabharata exists where the Jakhiyes beat the Kauravs and theKauravs were then saved by their enemy and cousin – Arjun.

Kinner: Kind of demigods with head of a horse and the body of a human.

Pishaach: The extreme kind of evil spirit – extreme kind of bhoot.

Pret: One level up from bhoot but a level down from a Pishach.

Bhoot: A ghost, an evil spirit.

Sooker: A dirty pig

Mrigach: One that eats a deer i.e. a lion.

The whole pankiti means that there are countless demigods, evil spirits, dirty animals and flesh eating animals.

Based on this pankitis and after reading several other pankitis in Gurbani it is safe to say that such evil spirits to exist but a Sikh has nothing to do with such evil practices.

A Sikh is the worshipper of Vaheguru and does not bother about any evil and as such no evil bothers or comes near a Sikh

Ghosts exist and can stir a lot of trouble, leech off people, do Jadoo on people, possess people etc. if they come close, it's our own negativity that let them come close. If negativity exists, it's God teaching that a fault exists so work on it.

Practicing truth, ie understanding that everything and everyone is just God- means that we are able to see past the illusion of symbolic reflections of the 2nd energy like negatively charged prets and nothing can harm us as we have recognised the truth.

This is not protection- it is simply understanding the gyan of truth and applying it to begin to live in truth, and be the Truth and not illusion i.e maya.
