Exactly. I studied with an Egyptian Muslim at uni and he always derogatorily referred to them as pakis.

The Muslims who don't really cause problems abroad are Iranians.

I will definitely second that statement about Iranians.

All the Iranians I have ever known are quite detached from the mosque and muslim mentality. They don't appreciate the Pakistanis running about trying to preach islam either.

Iranians know their roots. Their ancestors were originally Zoroastrians who were forcibly converted to Shia Islam. I had 2 classmates in Dubai when I was in college. One was Iranian, the other a Bangladeshi. The Iranian used to wear a Zoroastrian symbol as a necklace since it was part of his Iranian culture and he didn't really see anything "unIslamic" about it. The Bangladeshi dude (possibly descendant of those cowards who were converted and then enslaved) however got mad at him saying "Ohhhhh but that is shirrkkkk!"

This observation is very true to Hindustani(Indo-Pak-Bangla) Muslims. If an Arab, Turk or Iranian leaves Islam he will still be an Arab, Turk Iranian because they are not ashamed of their indigenous culture. But a Muslim from the Indian sub continent leaves Islam what will he claim to be? because the Hindustani Muslims are largely suffering from some inferiority complex. They will always pretend they are anything but Hindustani. Every Pakistani, Indian or Bangla Muslim you will meet will always claim he is a descendant of some Arab, Pathan, Iranian or the Mughals. They will never admit their ancestors were Hindus. Absolutely none will admit their Hindu ancestors were forcibly converted to Islam or that Muslim conquerors were brutal maniacs who came to loot India.

Just look at how Muslims of Pakistan have made the invader Mohammad Bin Qasim into a hero while turning their own indigenous ruler Raja Dahir into a villain. They even made stories up about Raja Dahir being a rapist etc while turning Bin Qasim into a liberator. But when one reads the Chachnama which was written by an Arab it reveals how it was the Muslims who raped the women of Sindh, killed the men, and took into slavery countless people. Yet Pakistanis glorify the person who raped, looted and brought destruction on ancient pakistanis. They have even named their missiles in honour of these invaders like Gauri, Abdali, Ghaznavi even though the biggest victims of these invaders were the Hindu ancestors of the Pakistanis. This is the biggest irony of modern times.

This makes me think of another remarkable difference between Sikhi and Islam.

The earliest Muslim invaders were Arabs (who actually conquered even Spain a.k.a Andalusia and were eventually thrown out), followed by Turks, Afghans, Pashtuns, Persians etc. who were also invaders and conquered many lands to the east of Central Asia (i.e. present day northern India, north-western India and all those new countries that broke from former USSR which used to be Buddhist kingdoms back then). Yet the illiterate and shameless Pakistani/Bangladeshi youth of today (descendants of those cowards who were converted and then enslaved) pride themselves on all those conquests, forgetting that it was their own direct ancestors who (being non-Muslims) suffered all that brutality. Fact is that Muslims can never be 100% united, because there will always be a cultural/historical/philosophical divide between those who started out as oppressors (Arabs, Turks, Afghans, Pashtuns, Persians) and those who were converted and then enslaved (Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Indian Muslims) by the oppressors.

Sikh history has Shaheeds from several backgrounds that existed in northern and north-western India. I am not going to name them (I already have earlier ), and so we always need to know that Sikhs did NOT oppress anyone, did NOT force anyone to convert. All our Shaheeds, no matter whatever so-called "caste" they belonged to, are our ancestors, no matter whatever so-called "caste" we tag ourselves with. Muslims from the subcontinent can never make that claim seriously about the foreign oppressors who massacred their ancestors.

I am Mehtab Singh, I come from non-Sikh ancestry, an ancestry that is very similar to that of Shaheed Kirpa Singh ji and also very similar to the ancestry of Bhai Mati Das ji. Does that mean I cannot say that Baba Deep Singh ji or Baba Banda Singh Bahadur is my ancestor? OF COURSE I can, and I WILL! Because he took the same Amrit which I got. Because he did not oppress my ancestors, rather guarded them! Because NONE of the Shaheed Singhs committed any act that dishonored any of my ancestral mothers. All Shaheed Singhs are my ancestors, all of them are your ancestors, they all are OUR ancestors and we are ALL proud of them.

I dare these guys to say Mohammad Bin Qassim is their ancestor. In fact, he might as well be! The guy did rape the daughters/sisters of Raja Dahir, didn't he? And they claim him their ancestor proudly?!?!?!
