Vjkkvjkf Sangat ji.Im an amritdhari and I do not know if I committed a bajjar kruheit or not.Yesterday there was some loos skin on my arm and it was hurting me and I used a nail clipper to cut the loose skin off.Now I'm not sure if any of my hairs got cut.I was also trying to make sure they did not get cut.What should I do?I did jaap ji sahib paath ardas and took hukamnama.The hukamnama was on ang 647.

Salok mėhlā 3. Shalok, Third Mehl:

ਹਸਤੀ ਸਿਰਿ ਜਿਉ ਅੰਕਸੁ ਹੈ ਅਹਰਣਿ ਜਿਉ ਸਿਰੁ ਦੇਇ ॥ हसती सिरि जिउ अंकसु है अहरणि जिउ सिरु देइ ॥ Hasṯī sir ji▫o ankas hai ahraṇ ji▫o sir ḏe▫e. The elephant offers its head to the reins, and the anvil offers itself to the hammer;

This is how the Gurmukhs eliminate their self-conceit, and come to rule the whole world.

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬੁਝੀਐ ਜਾ ਆਪੇ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੧॥ नानक गुरमुखि बुझीऐ जा आपे नदरि करेइ ॥१॥ Nānak gurmukẖ bujẖī▫ai jā āpe naḏar kare▫i. ||1|| O Nanak, the Gurmukh understands, when the Lord casts His Glance of Grace. ||1||

Mėhlā 3. Third Mehl:

Jin gurmukẖ nām ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā ā▫e ṯe parvāṇ. Blessed and approved is the coming into the world, of those Gurmukhs who meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕੁਲ ਉਧਾਰਹਿ ਆਪਣਾ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮਾਣੁ ॥੨॥ नानक कुल उधारहि आपणा दरगह पावहि माणु ॥२॥ Nānak kul uḏẖārėh āpṇā ḏargėh pāvahi māṇ. ||2|| O Nanak, they save their families, and they are honored in the Court of the Lord. ||2||

Pa▫oṛī. Pauree:

Gurmukẖ sakẖī▫ā sikẖ gurū melā▫ī▫ā. The Guru unites His Sikhs, the Gurmukhs, with the Lord.

Jinā gur pi▫ārā man cẖiṯ ṯinā bẖā▫o gurū ḏevā▫ī▫ā. Those who cherish their Beloved in their conscious minds, the Guru blesses them with His Love.

Gur sikẖā iko pi▫ār gur miṯā puṯā bẖā▫ī▫ā. The Guru loves all of His GurSikhs equally well, like friends, children and siblings.

ਗੁਰੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਬੋਲਹੁ ਸਭਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਆਖਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀਵਾਈਆ ॥੧੪॥ गुरु सतिगुरु बोलहु सभि गुरु आखि गुरू जीवाईआ ॥१४॥ Gur saṯgur bolhu sabẖ gur ākẖ gurū jīvā▫ī▫ā. ||14|| So chant the Name of the Guru, the True Guru, everyone! Chanting the Name of the Guru, Guru, you shall be rejuvenated. ||14||

Do I need to go pesh?Im not even sure any of my hairs were actually cut.

Is this a Sikh forum or Taliban ?? :stupidme:

Has anyone ever thought 'WHY" the discipline of rehatnamas is there ??

It seems that we have more of a 'fear' factor rather than discipline.

I never knew sikhi was about having fear of superiors like the Taliban !

Doesn't 'Discipline' help keep and maintain a clear 'Conscious' rather than fear ??

Please try to understand the difference with discipline and fear, and how it can help a Sikh have no weight pulling on their conscious and this includes having confidence in your conscious just like a Shere-lion.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
