Beadbhi In London

Recommended Posts

It comes as no surprise to many that the Afgan Sikh community is behind this shame.

If you allow Beadbhi of Guru Granth Sahib, then people will ask what kind of a religion do Sikhs have?

If Sikhs can do this to themselves, what's stopping other people to be equally if not more disrespectful?

If musulman or hindus did this, there would have been international news? Is this incident not a case of double standards?

It doesn't look good for the Afgan Sikh community as a lot of other Southall Sikhs already believe they are ruthless greedy fraudsters that are only maya orientated. (Maybe, this is the effect of too much time with musulmans in Pathanization) (Why setup a separate Gurdwara when the main Southall one (mostly empty) is around the corner?)

People might start to boycott Afgan shops soon...

Either way, the Guru Nanak Darbar Committee need to issue a full apology for their involvement (dating back many years) and sort this mess before it gets out of hand.

Have anyone actually heard from the Guru Nanak Darbar Committee or the people that done this since the news first broke?

It seems the Khalsa Diwan Afganistan are taking the right steps to resolve this but they didn't commit the Beadbhi and there has been no information to suggest anything has changed.

News is slowing spreading by word of mouth and (rightly or wrongly) this will no doubt further damage the image of the Afgan community (its not as if Guru Nanak Darbar Committee hasn't been given enough time to fix this).

The Sikh Channel seem strangely silent...

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Khalsa Diwan Afganisation and the Afgan Sikh community are trying their best but it doesn't appear as if the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara Sahib Committee wants to resolve this.

An acknowledgement that a Beadbhi has occurred as not been formally issued by the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara Sahib in Southall. We appeal to the Afgan Sikh community to step in and resolve this divisive issue.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is priceless.

Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is not like an old item of clothing that people can discard. It is the Sikh's most holiest object, the source of our way of life.

The issue, perfectly good Maharaj Saroops are being destroyed (no attempt at repairing them is being made) and persons associated are linked to the production of Saroops. This is a major conflict of interest. We are talking about hundreds of Saroops over the past few years being systematically collected and destroyed for no good reason.

Thousands of people bow down in front of Maharaj everyday, As a Sikh what does it mean to you if you hear that Maharaj is being destroyed for no good reason?

As one person commented 'how would you like it if you were cremated after receiving a small cut or blemish'.

We would appeal to the Sangat that if you are aware of this happening in your area, please report this to us.

If you can no longer maintain (or require) a Maharaj Saroop, or need a repair, please report this to us. Do not assume Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji needs to be destroyed even if someone suggests this.

We would invite committees (or representatives) of ANY or ALL Gurdwara's to comment or advise on what their institutions procedures are for the assessment, collection, repair and destruction of Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

It will be interesting to see what the response from committees will be as many have been accused of being out of touch.

Gurfateh Jee, DIscover Sikhism made very valid point. This was main concerned Singh's who did sewa of Guru Granth Sahib Jee was told by Gurdwara Guru Nanak Darbaar Committee that all Swroops are Birdh. All sangat was in shock when they discover all 22 Shri Guru Granth Sahib Jee Swroops are in very good condition. Some Swroops are now Parkash in havelock Gurudwara.

Very nicely put, but there's not much chance of getting Masands online. You can find plenty of Masands (Deceivers) counting the golak money though...

Gurfateh Sangat Jee,

MUST WATCH Tonight on Sky Channel 793 MATV at 7pm Live Program on Beadbhi happened in London. HARJAP BHANGAL SHOW.

Shame on Akaal, Sangat and Sikh Channel for not providing coverage and following up on this issue. MATV, a Hindu channel spent 1 hour of a LIVE show discussing what happened.

Whatever people think about attacks on Sikh, it goes to show there are some good Hindu's who seem to respect Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji more than our own community and media!!!

Just when you think you can't be surprised anymore, Waheguru provides a reminder.

Hindu media - 1, Sikh media - 0

Truly is a very shameful day for so called Sikh Media, as Bhai Sahib said (eventhough it hurts to say this) we got to be indebted to MATV (Hindu Ch).

1 hour LIVE show(not recorded) without any constrictions to what could be covered as long as the proofs were made available beforehand to the presenter. Personally think both Singhs did a great job in presenting the case in a very articulate and professional manner. Harjap Bhangal (the presenter - never really heard from him before, but know of him) was very good in informing the audience of the True facts and did a fantastic job as a neutral presenter in highlighting the quality of the evidence as opposed to the childish stupidity of the Guru Nanak Darbar Committee.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
