Try some of the techniques given and mentioned on other threads.

I also find that Amritvela between 2.30am and 4.30am is probably the best time.

I have tried various times and I do practice it whenever I can but that Divine time of amritvela is definitely some kind of heavenly time. I don't think anyone can really put their finger on it but it is a combination of our own body rhythms, the quietness and a time when the universe can appear still and you can hear yourself both tongue and within.

Also remember that the difference between prayer and simran ?-

Prayer is Talking to God

Simran is Listening to God. It is this listening that requires our attention as we seem to be deaf to the God within us.- The Antarjami
