Possibly all of India is laughing at his childish comments such as Beant Singh used to play Badminton with me, foolish speeches such as 25,000 mosquitoes bite me etc. etc. Why is he doing so, probably even he does not know, I don't think he has any agenda, he just comments whatever comes without even thinking.

I am not sure what is so controversial about her comments as reported by the hard-core Hindu media NDTV, it is all but bitter truth.

Morever, any body raising a point - Oh she had to flush terrorists from inside, just reply to them - would they have sent tanks to demolish/blow Birla Mandir/ Vaishno Devi/Jagannath Puri/Tirupathi if terrorists of any religion, leave apart Hindu terrorists were inside.

The same answer was given by son of one of our relatives appearing in the IAS interview, and the panel admired this reply.

lol at Rahul trying to act like a martyr. Indira Gandhi and Rajiv got exactly what they deserved. After killing thousands of innocent people in the name of "national unity" they are praised as so called heroes. But his speech also gave us some new insight about our Shaheeds, Satwant Singh and Beant Singh Jee. He mentioned that when he was a child, they were his friends. One of them even taught him to play badminton. This proves those two men were tender hearted men who played with children. But they were so moved by the mass slaughter of innocent people at Darbar Sahib that they had to dispatch Indira Gandhi to Jampur before she killed more innocent people. Harsimran Kaur Badal did good for speaking up.

The fact they chose to sacrifice their lives for what they thought was the only way to stop a leader and her government hell-bent on the destruction of a minority, shows they felt there was no other course of action. Hell, if she had been left alive, who knows what would have happened? Are you saying the Singhs who killed Massa Rangarh are not shaheeds? Are you saying the shaheeds who fought Mughals are not shaheeds? Fighting Mughals caused many genocides for Sikhs.

They are Shaheeds for the Sikhs, the Akal Takh which is the highest authority of the Sikhs has also declared them as Shaheeds. Sikhs all over the world hang their pictures in their houses with pride. So there is not doubt amongst the Sikhs at least that these men are in fact Shaheeds.

1. Sikhs do not care what the world thinks. The world and most of India(including congress and Nehru) was shocked when Udham Singh had taken revenge for Jillianwala massacre by killing(punishing) O'Dwyer, but after 1947 that same Udham Singh was declared a national hero of India by none other than the congress leadership under Nehru.

2. Strange how the mass non-Sikh Indian population did not feel grief and anger when Indira Gandhi had slaughtered thousands of Sikhs at Darbar Sahib but they should feel grief and anger if Indira Gandhi was punished for her crimes against the Sikh people. The way the Hindus and Jains had reacted by murdering thousands of Sikhs under the excuse of "grief and anger" only manages to show how sick they were.

your belligerent attitude in trying to justify the Sikh genocide only proves to the Sikhs in general that Indians cannot give justice to the Sikhs even after 30 years because they still blame the Sikhs for the Sikh genocide. I don't know if you believe in Karma or not but It is this attitude of the Indian population that will be their downfall. Karma has a way of coming back when you least expect it.

I have said that had they chosen a peaceful method of protest instead of assassination the genocide could have been avoided.

For me personally the genocide was shameful and a blot that cannot be argued away. The blame lies with the evil and violent people who perpetrated and planned the murders (from whatever ethnic or religious background).

You should not extend the blame to the rest of the population who were not involved or tried to protect and help the victims.
