You guys do realise.. In the Naamdhari belief system that all Naamdhari leaders after Baba Ram Singh are actually in effect "caretakers". They are not actual successors to Ram Singh leadership was never passed on. This is acknowledged by Naamdharis themselves in their ardaas they say "guddih nasheen" I.e: no Gurus after Ram Singh. This is because when Ram Singh was exiled by the British for being the head of a anti British freedom fighting movement he said that he will return. Hence till today naamdharis await the return of Ram Singh.

Personally I think the naamdharis made a cult after the exile of Ram Singh and made up all this story of guruship being passed on etc.. I have never seen or read any texts that report Ram Singh Himself claiming to be a Guru or successor to Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

Anyway back on topic why should caretakers be expected to have all banis commited to memory ???

They are not just mere caretakers, they claim to be "Satguru". The term Satguru has a very specific meaning in the Sikh tradition. If they are Satguru then they are infallible. They should have all of Gurbani memorized as Guru Gobind Singh Jee did when He sent Sikhs to retrieve the Kartarpuri Bir from the Ram Raiyas but they refused saying if He(Guru Sahib) is a Satguru then He does not need Kartarpuri Bir because a Satguru has all of Gurbani memorized. And since Guru Gobind Singh Jee was indeed Satguru, He dictated all of Gurbani in the form of Damdami Bir.

Satguru Sri Guru Nanak dev ji was against pakhand in all its forms, this is the ultimate sin and evil of the kuke that they thag people into beliving they are the true sikhs with there fake leaders. There is a sakhi in Sri Guru Hargobind ji's time where ants were eating a snake and the sikhs ask Satguru why they were eating the snake alive, Guru ji said the snake was a pakhandi and the ants were his followers. They were eating the snake because he lied which put them back into chaurasi lakh joon. I don't a worst life then a snake but the kuke devils will be going there.

The Namdharis are clearly against the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh by creating their own 'Gurus' and scriptures . I am surprised that the Nakali Nihangs support them whilst at the same time saying they Guru Gobind Singh ji's fauj. Also the people that bash Missionaries and Sikh preachers are silent on these much bigger offenders.

On 24th october 2000 the Akal takht issued a Hukanama banning anyone who does not belive in the das gurus and Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji has their guru to perform kirtan in any gurdwara. If you do not belive in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and belive in dehdhari pakandi devils that the naamdhari leaders then u are not a sikh. The khalsa are the true naamdharis not these kuke devils because we are bestowed naam by the panj pyara in the presence Guru Nanak atmak jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji maharaj tha king of kings.

it's still not an excommunication is it?

Any other information you can volunteer about an actual excommunication?

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
