Fact is that these people failed to preserve anything written by those whom they call/see as their murshid. They should ideally be thankful to Khalsa Panth as its because of us that they were able to have access to Bani recited by the Bhagat Sahibaan. There has been an instance of Maharashtrians actually thanking the Sikh community for having preserved the Bani of Bhagat Namdev Jee who was from their own native state. Whoever thinks/says that Guru Sahibaan copied verses needs an immediate medical check up. Do they know when and where did their murshids, i.e. Bhagat Sahibaan recite which Shabads? No, they don't, and they will also disagree that the Bhagat Sahibaan, according to certain Sikh sources, became Sikhs before their Bani was added.

So bottom line is, there is no point debating with people who don't have any ground to stand on. If they do, please show us proof where is the Bani of Bhagat Sahibaan preserved by their ancestors BEFORE the first saroop of Adi Granth was completed. If they don't have any such proof, which they obviously don't, how dare they accuse Guru Sahibaan of copying?

Paji did you hear about some scholars saying the Bhagats like Baba Fareed Ji was actually a contemporary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji? BIjla Singh talked about it, but I never heard about it from anywhere else.

Sheikh Fareed was in this world around twelfth century. It is generally believed by Sikh scholars that he was the

one whose bani is in Guru Granth sahib ji.

There was also another saint from same line named sheikh Brahm who was contemporary of Guru Nanak Dev ji.

He is also known as Fareed second.Guru Nanak dev ji had met him.

Lets look at Guru Granth Sahib Ji as one and not be separated into bhagat bani or Gurus Banis.

I'm always told by my family members especially old people that GGSJ has 15 bhagats and 6 Gurus etc and that it is a Granth for people who were low caste. And I always wonder that what if Guru Nanak Dev Ji had left us with only Mool Mantar? We should actually be thankful that Guru Sahibaans added the bani that was in line with Gurmat. And not try to separate bani by referencing certain bhagats or Gurus.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji recited all of Guru Granth Sahib Ji at Damdama Sahib. We could also say that all of it is Guru Gobind Singh Jis bani?

Lets look at bani as One.

To the op. Every letter, word, shabad in Guru Granth Sahib Ji has its respective place. Bhagat Surdas Ji has only one shabad and there must be a reason that Guru Arjan Dev Ji added it the Adi Granth. He didn't say you only have 1 Shabad and im not going to add your bani. My point is that we can't look at Guru Granth Sahib Ji as separate banis. It's a Shabad Guru and The Shabad itself is hidden in bani. We just have to Japp.

12th century Baba Fareed is NOT believed by scholars to be the 'author' of the Bani in Guru Granth Sahib Jee.
