Can A Sikh Read The Bible?

I have this desire to read the bible, only for recreational reasons. Would that be OK as a Sikh, or would it be wrong. I have always wanted to know what they believe, but again I'll only be reading the bible for recreational reasons

Nothing wrong with studying the religious texts of other religions. I've done it and it only confirm to me what I already knew i.e. Sikhi is the best!

Yeah nothing wrong with reading bible, read exodus chapter in the bible and also study gnostic mysticism - very similiar to eastern philosophy ie- buddhism and snatan spiritual school of thoughts.

I've also had Jehovah's Witness come to my house giving stuff in Punjabi. They tried to talk to me slowly and in Punjabi and surprised them speaking normally and told them I wasn't interested.

They're mentally sick people.

I read a bit of the Bible once. It resulted in me becoming a fan of Charlton Heston's religious movies from the 50s. Wonderful times.

Their resources are very good though. We could learn a thing or two. They print things in all languages so anyone can read it, we should do that. There are many people out there who want to learn about SIkhi but can't because resources are so bad.

I've read it. Nothing bad about it. I think Guru Gobind Singh encouraged Sikhs to learn about other faiths and study their texts to gain knowledge (correct me if I'm wrong).
