the problem is That he is condoning is the profiling and deliberate screening of people wearing turbans, that sikhs for the past few years have been campaigning against throughout world airports.

its already a hassle as it is - so this guy wants to give airports the power to make me take my turban off and prove theres nothing inside every time i want to travel ???

how about they have a reason to be suspicious first or have a valid reason to search innocent members of the public just travelling and going about their business

how many turban wearing sikhs have been caught with bombs or drugs in their dastar that this is such a BIG ISSUE ?

We Sikhs have had to pay a heavy price for every minor right, every minor demand we have ever asked for. See our history, especially recent history, and it is witness. Looks like a heavy price will have to be paid for some retards to understand the significance of the dastar and kirpan. God forbid, if someday some group of terrorists create a situation where a large number of people's lives are at grave risk, and say a Singh/Kaur wearing dastar and kirpan sacrifices his/her life trying to save those people. That will be the day all these stupid haters will realize the importance and necessity of dastar and kirpan for Sikhs. That day they will realize the safety to just have a Sikh around.

Now he is favouring Dastar checking because manjit singh gk and the new committee of DSGMC which is the Virodhi party to his patron Sarna took a stand on Dastar checking in the airport. What a loser this guy is, just to oppose his Virodhi party he is supporting the humiliating dastar checking in the airports. Dastar checking should be like how they check the whole body i.e. with metal detector. What is the need to take it off or frisk it? they don't tell people to take their clothes off or frisk their whole body, so no need single out the Sikh Dastar either.

I see this as an overall plan to get more Sikhs to stop wearing dastars. A Sikh with a dastar who get's hassled in life more would cause future generations to stop tying dastars. Which results in cutting hair and moving away from Sikhi for a hassle free life and blending into society. Much of the youth already state getting jobs and being accepted in society is becoming harder and harder as more restrictions are being put on people with dastars. Seem like he knows the outcome and is pushing for it.
