100,000 Mool Mantra -counting of mool mantra is used as aid initial stages for technique/ vidhi meant for specific sidhi- ajapa jaap state not for general use, similiar state can be accomplished by replacing counting of mool mantra with numbers of hours say- close to 5 hrs a day. The only reason i say counting of mool mantra should be replaced by number of hours a day so that people don't get caught up in counting-wrap their head around it -totally missing dhun (dhun mein dhyan dhyan mein jaaniya) and gyan (absolute supreme consciouness reality of vahiguroo) aspect of mool mantra.
