I'm disgusted with the attitude against dating in the Sikh community that I read on this forum.

It's the role of the religion to enlighten people and to prepare them for difficult decisions in life.

As the world moves on from past ideals, religion manifests itself in both good and bad ways.

You people out there saying Sikhism forbids dating, I ask you why, would you not start that particular argument with if they are respectful of each other.

All of you follow the Sikhism we know today but what about the Sikhism from 50 years ago or 100 or 300. What about the subtle changes in interpretation of sikhism over the next 50 years.

Sikhi doesn't change, people do. Cutting hair will be a Bhujer Kerehit now, and in a thousand years. If you want to change Sikhi join another religion.
