More Beneficial - Gurmantar Or Kirtan?

Thank you for the responses - I like the Bhai Manj example.

It seems that this is a grey are. Most responses conflict with the below.

Perhaps the definition of naam includes gurmantar/moolmantar/kirtan. But gur mantra is the Nam given during Amrit sanchiaar which suggests it is the supreme one.

Difficult one - will stick with doing kirtan.

naam is more suuksham than keertan therefore start from keertan and progress to naam

From doing kirtan you will do naam simran. Gurbani will tell u to so naam simran. So keep doing both.
