"indian-Origin Man Found Guilty Of Domestic Violence, Rape In New Zealand"

Recommended Posts

"Melbourne: A Sikh man was found guilty of domestic violence and sexual attacks against his Indian wife by a court in New Zealand.

The man was yesterday found guilty by a jury at the Napier District Court on multiple counts of rape, assault and threatening to kill for a series of attacks against his wife in 2012.

The man cannot be named in order to protect the identity of the victim, who came to New Zealand from India after marring him, NZ Herald reported today.

The jury spent more than four hours deliberating on Tuesday and yesterday, before returning guilty verdicts on eight charges and a not guilty verdict on one charge.

The court heard the man kept a 45cm-long knife by their bed to intimidate and frighten his wife into having sex. As well, he physically abused and threatened to kill her.

Police in Hastings said the Indian woman, who broke away from her arranged marriage to tell them of her husband's recurring sexual attacks and beatings, was particularly brave, the report said.

Police detective Rob Parker said it showed domestic violence and that type of abuse "exists in all facets of society, it doesn't matter the culture or the demographic".

"...this complainant has been particularly brave. She had no one to turn to. Not only was she battling the cultural aspect, but she was in a foreign country," he said. "

Although this is disgusting, funny how NDTV have gone out of their way to label him a "Sikh" man.

Is it because so many Sikhs themselves insist on being identified as Sikhs and reject being called Indians ?

So why is it that when Sikhs do something good, they are lumped with the majority community but when it is a crime, then their religion is mentioned?

So typical of Indian media. I'm not even surprised anymore. But it is still disgusting to see it happen.

Actually from what I hear from a relative in New-Zealand there is more to this story than meets the eye. Originally this man was married to a native of that country and had a son by her. He divorced her due to some undisclosed reason and took the boy with him. He decided to get remarried and brought a young wife from India. Typical Punjabi vagabonds, lets face it they seem to be everywhere nowdays, started befriending her and winding her up against her husband. She in turn started turning against him, which in turn lead to his alcohol consumption increasing. Ultimately you have this, he got sentenced. If anything it should be the Punjabi community there who deserves to be harassed in court for their role in the entire affair.

There is not enough anti-hindu news posting on sikh news media. There are countless stories of Hindu men gang raping and killing innocent women on delhi buses and raping their own daughters at home, raping even poor animals in Indian media over the years yet our own Sikh media fails to pick those stories up and give the hindu facists / indian nationalists a taste of their own medicine.

This is why they call you surds become sardars have become happy clappy burrly jolly 3ho hippy jokes and not the fierece counter attackers they were known to be in the past.

Time for our lads to wise up train in the art of propaganda and media... it is time to specialize in the dark arts of demonisation of india, hindus, hindustani's as they have done of our faith and people from 1950s/60s/70s/80s/90s and still carrying on today but a bit more subtlety.

Why is it that whenever an apna person commits a crime, he is labelled by his faith, i.e. sikh man/ muslim man etc. But when a gora commits a crime, its just "man commits crime".

What is the need to label him by his faith? A man committed a crime, he did x y z, none of our business but there u go a bit of gossip for you. Boom! Done.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
