jazzy B is nothing but a singer...he sings for money .. and for manmat....if he praises those people we should not be feeling disappointed bcz of him..He is just like normal human being

The thing that makes us feeling to be disappointed is that wearing khanda and dancing like kanjar among the half naked girls... when he went canada..he became monah... now makes stupid hairstyles and becomes a role model for our young generation...

I personally don't think its about whether amritdhari sikh listen to the rubbish people like jazzy b churns out, however unfortunately the youth do listen to these people. The amritdhari is already on the right path however our youth is being influenced by what these so called role models are portraying. These people associate sikhi with their vulgar life styles promoting manmatt. Every attempt should be made to put a stop to the association of sikhi with these people in regards to their music videos and material. As rightly stated by my brother TURBANGUYZ, the whole kissing the gold khanda is ridiculous in a backdrop if a club, scantly glad sisters and alcohol?

You hit the nail on this one ji. As a Sikh teengaer, I can say that Gurdwara's all over the world have to go against these bad influential punjabi singers or movies by talking about them in gurdwara because there needs to be awareness of this vulgar music or westernized punjabi movies promoting caste or whatever being spread within our community. Like ome have mentioned before, So many damn Punjabi singers are just doing a couple religious songs than go back to who they really are. Its sad to see punjabi singers even like K.S. Makhan who is Amritdhari to be promoting Ravidassias in his songs that include Khalsa Panth or something similar. All of it is for money and fame these people just want more attention and what can we do about it?

    • Hi All, I havent been on this forum for a while but I thought id give it a try again as it helped me through some rough times earlier in my life. I wanted to seek for guidance on sikhi and marriage ... I noticed a post earlier on sanjog etc. and it got me thinking about my own life and marriage. For context, I have been married 3 years and things are not working out. When we met, I looked in to sanjog alot and it felt like it was written. However, as these years have gone by its become apparent that we no longer align with each other and our marriage is struggling. We dont seem to understand each other and things have fallen apart. We are at a stage now where separation/divorce is looking like the best option. Neither of us are happy and whilst we have tried to work things through in many different ways, after 3 years we have drifted away. What are the sikh views on this? is it written if we decide that we no longer serve each other? or is that a sin and should I continue to work at it? my issue at the moment is that it is draining me. I feel withdrawn from everything due to things going on between us including sikhi and going to the gurdwara.  Breaks my heart to even be writing this but I do think if we are both not happy and cant see a way of being happy then what is the point in continuing? Or should I be continuing and is it paap if we dont honour our laavan? if that is the case, what does sikhi say about marriage? how do I continue knowing everyday I feel the way I do?   Thanks

    • I'll use this place as my spiritual journal so if anyone wants to join then feel free to! I'm not sure if this could be classed as an experience but last week (or 2 weeks ago), I felt my saliva to be sweet however I lost it after a week. I don't really regret it though, if I lost it then it's Hukam Another point, I feel my concentration to be very good for a while, I can focus on the void for a longer period of time than I could before. I also feel a lot more Anand, it's all Guru di kirpa
