Firstly, I'm sorry to read about the current situation. Hang in there, Guru Ji is merciful and compassionate.

I would recommend either:-

1. Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) Amritsar

2. Baru Sahib, Himachal Pradesh

3. Or you could stay with the Chardi Kala Nihang Singhs

The above would ensure you don't go hungry and also would give you a job; Sewa to Humanity.

What I would say is as you can read Panjabi, read as much Chaupai Sahib as possible.
